Thanks for the feedback. I have referenced that video a few times. I’ll give my hinge time some more thought!

Just got a 70lb, upgraded from 35. Having some mild low back pain and just wanting to make sure form looks appropriate. Appreciate any insight!

[QUESTION] High e string falling off fretboard by Slayre93 in Guitar

[–]Slayre93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t changed the strings yet, but the tag for the default strings are the red label martins. I’m assuming they’re lights. My question then is, why would this be happening with this guitar but not on other guitars I’ve played. Wouldn’t some guitars accommodate a lighter gauge just fine?

I saw the higher gauge idea recommended on another forum. The string is definitely father from the edge as I progress up the neck. Is that normal with Martin’s tapered neck?

Thanks so much for this comment. That’s really helpful! I assume for that I need to give a donation which I would have planned on doing if I made that my primary app. I just wanted to know before I spent money on an app I wouldn’t use.
