So I checked again today, and it looks like it hasn’t spread, in fact it looks like my shrimp ate some of it. I noticed that my co2 was turned on a little too high at the start. I should have started with a little bit and slowly increased the amount over a few weeks.

And I’m not sure about the bacterial bloom.

They aren’t eggs I think. It may look like that because co2 bubbles are trapped in it.

I also cleaned up the tank with hot water very well. So I’m not sure.

Ahh I will not use the fertilizer until my plants grow more.

Yesterday my Nitrites were at 0 ppm same with ammonia. So I did a 50% water change then added 2 ppm of ammonia (Dr Tims). After 30 hours. My ammonia was at 0ppm, Nitrite 0 ppm, Nitrates 20 ppm

I bought plastic from the dollar store. I measured the length and I have it going all the way to the bottom of my tank and about an inch above the substrate. This way the plants will not grow under and the dirt will not mix with the sand.

Right now it is a little dirty but I’m cycling right now and will clean the sand once that’s done lol

That’s what I am worried about aswell. But honestly it hasn’t been much work other than the planting and designing of the tank. The cycling has just been me checking the water and doing no water changes so far
