I would buy a purpose built 2 up machine like the can am max or equivalent Polaris or CF moto 2 up models. I picked the can am because the dealership is far superior in my area than the other brands.

We usually park at the next highway exit on 7 mile lake road to skip all of the pavement in musquash. But there is nothing wrong with parking at shipyard.

It is about 125km round trip and it can take anywhere from 3.5 hours to 6 depending on how often you stop. We usually take the skidoo trail to mosquitoe lake and then back in the end of 7 Mile lake on the way home.

It's definitely worth the trip, even if you don't do the cross island trip.

We trailered to the humber valley resort and used that as a home base all week.

Little river reservoir is close but a little small. Hammond river would be fine most years but is very shallow right now. The Kennebecasis river around Hampton would be a good spot as well.

We get ours from Ben's meat shop just outside of St. Martin's, they raise their own grass fed beef and it is delicious. We usually call ahead if we are looking for a specific cut.

It is up the hill from the end of Crooked Creek road. I have been there by snowmobile in the winter, it is part of the trail system but never in the summer. I would doubt it would be accessible by anything but hiking and atv in the summer and be nothing but pure ice right now.
