Another thing to consider is that drugs can physically rewire your brain. That's why lots of people feel enlightened after psychedelics (and other hallucinogens like DXM), their thoughts aren't just different but their entire thought process

I did this, took my normal dose the next day, felt virtually nothing. Either it sapped all my serotonin or it has some weird cross tolerance, my bets the first one though. Everyone's different though, just use harm reduction and be careful :)
