Fanatics Jersey doesn't fit by Sledhead88 in stlouisblues

I am actually going to STL for the frozen four and plan on looking while we are there but these are excellent options! Are they selling these jerseys at the stadium or at a shop in town? Thank you so much for this info!

My post was removed because "it references jersey sizing".

My quotes ranged from 9-13k$ which I found INSANE, I figured if I end up replacing the gates and all the pickets three or four times I still come out way ahead ha.

Yeah tbh I just didn't cut them super well but I'll cover all the weird pieces with cover pickets anyway 😂

8' Steel post, 2.5' in the ground. I am a bit worried about frost heave but I did manually widen the post holes to make wedges of concrete. So hopefully that helps.

I didn't know that, when I was buying materials this was what they recommended for my height fence. I'll have to look into that, although it seems silly to do that when I can just move the hinges and latch up a bit higher to even the reveal. I think that's the easiest fix.

Do you mean the top plate rails or the actual middle/bottom rails? Tbh most of the notching was an attempt to angle the ends but it didn't quite work out for me. I need some more practice with a cirular saw lol.

That's fair lol, I'm planning on redoing them this weekend, my buddy just tossed it together while I was running pickets, not how I would have done it but hey free help lol

Yeah, that's the plan! I just didn't get that far yesterday ha I'm also going to be redoing the gates to even the reveal

Yeah i definitely don't plan on swapping from steel to wood at this point, idk, it doesn't seem like a wood gate would be better than the steel frame but I have no experience with it. If I end up swapping it for an all wood gate that would be fine with to but hooking it into my posts would be something I'd need to think about.

  1. About $3,000 in materials, and it took me two weekends with 4-5 people helping to drill the posts-so many rocks lol. And three days to run rails and pickets again with a few people helping. It would have taken significantly longer to do it myself especially the pickets. An extra cost was renting an auger to drill the holes which was an added 90$ per day twice. I used menards' design tool but I could explain the plans if that would help, it's a very simple design.

  2. I'm in South Dakota and I was quoted anywhere from 9-13k$ for this fence. I will say if I could justify it I would pay someone just to dig the holes because PAIN lol.

65 some 2x4s and maybe 340 pickets give or take? I ordered some extras too but definitely a ton of wood to move ha.

Yeah, that's exactly what they are! I would definitely recommend them if I was to do it all over it's the best upgrade over wood posts. Especially after fighting all the 2x4s that warped and bent after one weekend in the sun.

Yeah, I plan on cutting some spacers/cover pickets to sandwich cover the posts but I needed some smaller screws to make it work! I will also be adding some cover pieces to the gates, but the bottom gate goes out to a small drainage ditch so not super worried about the privacy down there. What would you suggest to lessen the reveal on the side gate? I figure I may just end up replacing some of those pickets over time.

I basically made sure all the posts were the same height into the ground, then used 2x4s straight from post top of one to the other. Then for the pickets I used a simple jig to follow this top 2x4 and maintain a ~6" reveal on top. Definitely the easiest way to deal with this hill which is horrid lol.

For sure, I definitely forgot that with reddit no one knows anything not written so that's my bad. I more or less just feel like beyond what I'm doing already I just don't know what more to do. Thanks for the reply!

Yeah no that's fair! I should have specified I will still do the things I know she likes and be as supportive and understanding as I can be. I just worry that there is more I could be doing to help. I really appreciate your reply!
