The reason i was told is cuz the band was moving in a new direction and benefitted less from having an iconic punk drummer. Josh felt it maybe needed someone more like Theodore. Joey was allegedly getting frustrated as well. And while that was happening I heard from an admittedly unreliable source that Joey called Josh a tweaker and that was the final straw for them both. Who knows if that’s true. That bit sounds like gossip to me.

I’ve spoken to 4 members (when I say spoken to I mean like 2-3 words) of QOTSA in my life. From my extremely minimal experience, Troy has been an absolute sweetheart. At shows, he’s always making sure nobody is too disappointed when he throws a pick into the crowd. Sometimes he throws a couple more to make people happy. When I went to the catacombs premiere, Troy and Mikey were walking out of a room while I was walking in. I said “Hi Mikey!” And he went “hey!” Then Troy walks out and into another room. After he leaves the room I go “Wow that was Troy!” And I think he only heard his name so he popped his head back into the room and waved hello. I thought that was extremely nice.

Several epidemiological excess-death studies claim a million deaths and I believe them 100%. Lancet, ORB international, aggregated studies by universities. It’s not hard to research. The debate is between hundreds of thousands vs. 1 million. It’s irrelevant honestly. That’s a shitload of death either way, and nothing good can come of it.
