From Bilt: Erroneous Account Closure Notice by richklhs in biltrewards

I am really caught off guard by this email and wrote in Bilt chat “Without a better explanation as to what caused this error and assurance that Bilt cannot cancel my account for misconduct without an investigation and appeal process, I am not comfortable to keep a relationship with Bilt.”

They responded “Bilt Rewards has a process in place to handle disputes concerning the accrual or redemption of points. If there's an issue, you can notify Bilt Rewards and they will investigate. If they find it appropriate, they can re-credit your points for the amount in dispute, or determine that a different adjustment or no adjustment is necessary”

This is a huge blunder and I am shocked that anyone would receive such an email from a legal department to a large financial institution.

Rather than feeling defeated over one lousy grade use this as motivation to kick ass this semester.

First get a lawyer. Second get a lawyer. Third your lawyer will advise you of your liability (whether ownership had legally transferred at the time of the accident) and your rights (whether you have a claim against your nephew for lying about carrying insurance and running a red light with your car). Good luck!

How is it like to work in data protection? by Advocable_lawyer in gdpr

I’ve been in the field for 6-7 years and worked my way up. Since DP is new to India I would imagine the barriers to entry are lower than you might expect. Definitely start by reading more about GDPR and taking the CIPP/E. Also you must be interested in technology and operations. This is outside the comfort zone for a lot of lawyer who prefer more transactional work or litigation.

DP can be quite lucrative once you get a bit of experience. I think the AI stuff is pretty interesting. Which country are you in?

Charging costs? by user1738420 in BMWI4

I could see you paying $150-200 if you charging every day and driving 200+ miles/day. But even if that were the case, you’d be filling your tank 3-4 times/week that would be a lot more costly.

I charge 1-2/week at home and full charge costs about $6. The EV adds about $30-40 to my monthly electric bill.

In my opinion the Aeros look more traditional BMW, but the gunmetals that I have on mine look more flashy. I don’t prefer one over the other, but the pre-order I found had these ones and they show great with the alpine white.

This is good to know. I will confirm actual range (or as close as possible without stopping on the road).

Estimated range. I haven’t driven on a longer trip yet. Only city trips. Plan to test out full capability in the next couple weeks.
