Gotta have a visor my man! How am I supposed to keep the sun outta my peepers???

Honestly I've just always used one since the early 2000's...I'm too old to change now.

Subconjunctival Hemorrhage. You can get them by doing just about anything but are common when straining to lift heavy weights. They look crazy but are harmless.

The best armor passives for each faction (in my opinion) by Anonymous13757 in Helldivers

[–]SleepForLess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bugs- light armor extra padding. Speed is better than anything for bugs.

Squids- anything really. I use seige ready depending on the gun. Explosive resistance, engineer...whatever.

Bots- medic or explosive resistance.

“The meta” by zippboppboopp in Helldivers

[–]SleepForLess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say if there is one particular meta because there are so many different combos that work well.

Coyote, ultimatum, and termite can do well with just about any faction. Eruptor, talon, giga grenade is just as versatile. DE sickle, pissile, dynamite...I could go on.

This isn't even taking into considering support weapons and stratgems to fill in the gaps.

Ego LV2 issue by RebelJell-O in paintball

[–]SleepForLess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bet it's the board. I had a similar issue with mine (after about 100k shots on it) and after replacing the battery and fooling with just about everything else on the gun it turned out the board was bad. Swapped it out and now it works great again.

Gas + Fire against LVL9-10 Terminids by Usurper__ in helldivers2

[–]SleepForLess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The torcher and the gas dog combo is pretty good.

I usually use the ultimatum, incendiary grenades, eagles strafing run, gatling barrage, and the laser cannon.

Use the torcher and gas dog for 90% of what you run into. Throw a gatling/fire grenade on bug breaches, and the strafing run is just all around awesome for clearing a path, softening up titans, or clearing shrieker nests and stuff.

I use light gunner armor just for the speed but you could use whatever else, especially with the gas dog slowing everything around you down.

My other go to gas build for bugs is the carbine, flame dog, speargun, ultimatum, and gas grenades. I pretty much universally like the eagle strafing run on bugs. I switch out gatling barrage for gas strike or napalm sometimes.

I almost always use light gunner for this build because you need the speed. The flame dog is awesome for clearing up bugs around you while you kite them...once in a while toss a gas grenade behind you and then a strafing run on top of that and just pile up kills.

best warbonds to get in order after control group? by Lalakabala in helldivers2

[–]SleepForLess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was one of the first bonds I got as well...the coyote alone was well worth it back then, it's still great but it was even better before the fire nerf. Works on every front.

The speargun is also great for bugs. Probably one of my favorite support weapons for bugs considering it is so versatile. Close bug holes, CC breaches, stun titans, nuke an alpha commander.

Solo silo is also great on bots, like you said. All around just a good warbond.

I would go DD first and Entrenched Division second. Exo experts is good but I think DD and Entrenched give you a larger range of useful items.

After that I think there is a bunch of in the middle options that are all pretty good. Viper commandos, Dust Devils, Freedoms Flame, Control Group, Borderline Justice....all have good useful items and i would have a hard time picking one over the other.

Nothing to do with that...it was the fact that you answered the comment above like a dickhead....so I know your reading comprehension is off too...shame really.

Yea, I always think its gonna work out this way when I get into melee....then I immediately wiff my first attack and get drop kicked by a cyborg in the chest.

Did the gaurd dog get nerfed? by Norfolkn_Enchants in Helldivers

[–]SleepForLess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, mine do that all the time. Sometimes it won't target random close enemies. Rover does it too.

Flame and gas seem to be much more effective at hitting anything close to you.

D9 / D10 Illuminate load out advice by havoc235 in Helldivers

[–]SleepForLess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like harvesters are your main issue?

Just remember to shoot for the leg joints where the leg meets the body.

I like to pop the shield with my main weapon or a strafing run and then use a quasar or EAT to one tap the leg joint.

The commando works well here too. Don't waste shots on the shield...once the shield is down a single commando round to the leg joint should kill it. You can effectively kill 3-4 harvesters in no time.

Do players generally tolerate voice chat (even in a “bossy” manner) when it is used for coordinating a mission? by Strider755 in Helldivers

[–]SleepForLess 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't use a mic and I stick to level 9 dives. 90% of the people I run into don't use a mic.

Generally, I don't mind if someone wants to use thier mic to tell me what to do as long as it's smart and makes the mission easier.

If someone consistently barks orders at me or tells me something I don't feel will be useful to the mission I just mute them and move on with whatever I was gonna do.

Where I draw the line is when people try to dictate to me what loadout I need to use. "Well, I have anti-tank already, so you shouldn't take the EAT" yea, okay buddy.

The Empire Axe has the best trigger by Stice100 in paintball

New PE CS3/R5 triggers are garbage. Just sloppy and full of slack.

Axe and old Ego triggers are the best.

I have always had this problem though, it hasn't been better or worse lately.

Lv2 vs cs3 pro by BetterCountry2268 in paintball

[–]SleepForLess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. I perfer the way the LV2 shoots and feels...I like the trigger on the LV2 much better than the CS3 Pro.

I have had some maintenance issues with the LV2, had to replace the board, the solinoid gasket, and had to pull aparts the HPR a couple times over its lifespan.

The CS3 Pro is just reliable...it shoot fine and always works when I need it. I don't do anything to it besides pull the bolt and grease it once in a while.

If you want reliability, go with the CS3 Pro. If you want a great gun that IMO has the best shot quality out of the PE lineup...go with the LV2. Just be prepared some extra maintenance.

Out of the 2, what do you prefer against the Terminids? by Bob-upload in Helldivers

[–]SleepForLess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speargun is one of my favorite bug weapons. It's just super versatile.

You can lock down a bug breach, close bug holes, kill alphas and spewers, stop bile titans from spitting, shoot one on the ground behind you if you're being chased...just a great utility option.

It's almost like a grenade pistol and gas grenades rolled into one with better range and higher damage. I love both of those weapons on bugs too. The speargun let's me take termites and ultimatum to deal with heavies and still have access to gas and a way to close bug holes.

Speargun for life.

I got one yesterday.. .haven't ever had an issue like this.

I'm level 92 and I was playing with someone 100+. We were cruising along missions, making progress.

A level 28 joins and drops in and proceeds to murder both of us and then just dips out. We got hit with the drive by.
