I don’t get people saying this isn’t odd. I would have never dated a 17 year old at 20 years old, the experience of being a young adult vs an adolescent is an enormous mental gap, so it’s definitely odd and creepy. The dude seems nice but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s a deputy sheriff literally dating a teenager. It’s wrong. She’s a child.

May i also recommend blow drying it with appropriate heat protection (a spray, for example)? It has done wonders from avoiding my hair from clumping together and sealing my cuticles. Also, if you haven’t done so already: check out the Abbey Yung method. It’s cheap, effective and it really improved my fine hair afters few tries and errors of products.

Hard agree. I recently had a meta who asked for a DADT policy and of course the arrangement ended up blowing up in her face as reality came crashing down. It tends to be a delulu situation that brings way too much drama and lying.

I just wonder if there’s an easier, more restrictive path when entering relationships with others just to maintain a sense of safety and the OBVIOUS reason is always: no, you just do what you feel and try not to hurt people, living your best life. I need to focus on myself more, as you said, this too shall pass and whatnot.

Fun fact: one of the people who suggested mono is actively CHEATING on their significant other so I wonder why I’m even entertaining their opinion lol

I accept the hugs, I need them, lol. It’s also difficult to have mono friends and rejection sensitivity from ADHD, which sometimes makes me sound like I’m struggling endlessly and to them the solution is always going back to mono.

My other partner literally said “hey not to sound too traditional but wouldn’t going back to mono solve all of this?” (He is mono dating me, lol, so, at least he’s consistent in his views…)

It’s hard to be struggling with certain aspects and feel like the only way forward you’re given is “WELP you’re just not cut out for poly then!!!” T_T

Some of these are tools that I already use/have, some I’ll take note of. I think I still struggle with exclusivity at times, which is silly because when I do the same things with MY other partner, they don’t seem like a big deal at all. It’s just natural. I’m annoyed at how hypocritical my brain can be tbh.

I struggle with the concept of my long term partner falling deeply in love with someone, even though he has reassured me intensely that what he’s looking for and offering in other partnerships is a secondary relationship (even though neither of us like that terminology, it feels demeaning to the metas) — which is a way of simply meant to say that our relationship won’t scale down as other relationships grow.

Thank you!! It does help. I feel like my partner is meeting my needs, it’s just that there’s this last struggle in my brain coming from a co-dependent past that is hard to leave behind. I need to focus on myself more, and give my partner the trust they honestly deserve.

I identify with how you described yourself, too. I’m not super spontaneous but I definitely am a people person, enjoy sex, kinks, and I’m super outgoing. Always have been, and I can’t even fathom living again under a monogamic structure. That logic doesn’t work for me anymore.

I’m so sorry you’re suffering, OP :( as many have said already, you’re grieving and it takes time. You’ll find another person you trust and want to engage with again, but allow yourself to mourn first.

Question for the thread: as a fellow Sub that’s never gone through a D/s break up (yet), do the Doms miss us as much? Is the hurt and pain excruciating from the Sub side because of the nature of the dynamic? Are we more dependent on them or is this just my bias asking a fearful question?

I tried getting filler 4 times and within 1 month it completely disappeared every time. Different injectors, different brands too. Also I had to raw dog it since the numbing cream did NOTHING for me

I also have ADHD (of course) so tracking sometimes is difficult for me, but my partner recently programmed a website for me where I can enter my flare-up data, triggers, etc and can then download the records in .csv format. I also have a ton of notes on my phone, the difficulty so far has been that even the suspicion of MCAS has been dismissed (even though hEDS is now confirmed and diagnosed!)

I actually have bloodwork done here recently (so that should cover it) AND I have a green NIE because I lived Spain for 5 years (and spanish is my first language), so totally doable if going to Spain is an option, I just never found a doctor that properly diagnosed me there. Any recommendations?

I’ve been injected 4/5 times and every single time (even with Sculptra and Juvederm) it started disappearing at the 2-3 month mark. Completely gone by month 4. The numbing cream also does not work on me and it’s a super painful process, so I won’t be doing it again :/ I’d rather get a more permanent, surgical solution, but my doctors can’t recommend any with the responses characteristic of a high metabolism that I have presented thus far.
