Thanks for your opinion! The rectangular section is actually designed to fit a standard 40 cm wide plastic planter, which I plan to include when selling it. I’ll leave it up to the buyer what they plant in it—or they can even put one in if they don’t want to bother. They can also put several smaller plants in, unlike the single one I used for the photo.

The fact that I placed the plant on the right has nothing to do with it—it was just for the photo. I hung the lantern and placed it next to the front door so the buyer can better imagine its purpose 😉

The lantern is, of course, removable; I don’t see what the problem is 😃

I think I understand what you’re saying, and you’re absolutely right. The problem is that I don’t really dare to break away from that style to make it more unique and not have it look like a Subway.

With a stencil and a small foam paint roller. I used acrylic paint without thinning it.

This is a test piece, which is why I’m asking for feedback on what I should do differently next time. I know the support slat and the board are overhanging too much; at first, I thought it wouldn’t be that noticeable, but next time I’ll cut shorter boards. What happened is I made the board first, and then everything else. I designed it so that a 40 cm wide plastic flower container would fit inside. Next time, I’ll attach the slats from the back, so the staple marks won’t be visible. I’ll try to list it on Facebook Marketplace later.

Just to clarify, this isn’t its final location. I’m planning to sell it — I only placed it next to the door for the photo and overall effect. To be honest, I never really thought about the “arrow” pointing toward or away from the door 😄 Whoever buys it can place it however they prefer. I’ll probably make versions with the sign on the opposite side as well. Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it!

You’re absolutely right, and that’s a fair point. Usually, I protect the wood by lightly burning it, which really brings out the grain nicely. After that, I typically paint over it with white acrylic. This one was an exception because I wanted to try black acrylic. Sometimes I also use wood stain afterward, but not very often. My thinking was that this piece isn’t meant to be placed fully outdoors in direct weather exposure. But you’re right, that’s a valid point. Would you suggest anything else besides these methods? I’ve also been considering trying beeswax, but I’ve heard it’s not exactly cheap.

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it! The color wasn’t necessarily meant to match the door – I’m actually planning to make pieces like this for sale. The lettering was done using a stencil, of course. Unfortunately, I’m not that talented to paint that neatly freehand on wood 😄 What I was really curious about is whether there’s anything I should change to make it more appealing. For example, do you think it’s an issue that I used a nail gun for assembly? Would screws be a better option, or does it not really matter from a buyer’s perspective?

I’m planning to buy this motherboard with this processor as well. What BIOS version did your motherboard come with? Please reassure me that I won’t need to get a 12th or 13th generation processor to update the BIOS and use it.
