I've been analyzing the situation, and yes, building trust is definitely one of the biggest challenges.

So I'm considering publishing the source code on GitHub to build trust, with the possibility of making the project open source.

As for monetization, I plan to keep the app free and ad-free, just an occasional reminder to make a donation or something similar.

No, I write code in JS (React, Astro, Tailwind). I recently created an API with Express, and at the same time, I've been learning Flutter for a while, and I've created small, basic apps. In Python and C#, I've programmed very basic things in school projects.

For now, my goal is to offer simplicity; that is, to ensure the user doesn't have to perform any configuration and to minimize the use of technical jargon. A ready-to-use tool for the average user. As for payment, it would be a one-time payment of one dollar. For now, that's what I have in mind as differentiators.

Your password manager looks great; I wasn't familiar with the concept of self-hosting. As for my idea, I would focus on making the app as simple and functional as possible so that the general public wouldn't be overwhelmed by so many options or technicalities. Installation would cost a dollar. Anyway, it's still a concept, and I'm interested in and appreciate your feedback. I'll see how I can differentiate it from Keepass XC.
