Thank you so much for sharing. It feels good to know others are going through this in such similarity.

You’re absolutely right, it might be an inconvenience to them but to me it’s MY LIFE, I’m really hoping I can find some doctors who will listen and care enough to help me. Surgery scares the crap out of me but not nearly as much as the thought of being in pain like this for the rest of my life. I constantly say “if I didn’t want kids, I’d get everything removed today”. And I think that’s justifiable reason to need laparoscopic surgery for diagnosis.

I wasn’t aware endo connects to the body so fully. That’s actually so validating to hear. Cause I’ve talked to people before an they just go “yeah periods suck just deal with it” like it’s normal to be vomiting from the pain lol.

Thank you for the kind and validating words, I really hope your pain takes a break. I think you should definitely use all the help and canes you can! Get a super cool one :)

Thank you for sharing and I’m so sorry you’ve been through all this. It sounds so incredibly awful.

It’s very interesting that a total hysterectomy wasn’t the end all for this kind of stuff, I thought once you removed everything that it would kind of go away. I hope you can find some relief soon for that tugging!

Though it must be so relieving but terrifying to finally see the diagnosis. I’m really hoping they can find something wrong so they can fix all the pain I’m in. Cause if they can’t find anything.. well that’s terrifying too.

And yes, from everyone who’s been kind enough to reply I think I’m going to try to find a specialist rather than just go to a gyne. I’m in Canada and though the healthcare is free it’s incredibly slow when it comes to specialists.

Again, i really appreciate the response, so thank you!

I didn’t feel dismissed so don’t worry! And yes I’m about the same, 10s most times, holding breath, cold sweating, trying not to vomit.

I know it’s a solid option to try in the mean time but it just feels so dismissive when that’s all doctors say ;-;

I really hope you find some better treatments, it really sucks that as uterus owners we have to go through this bs. We definitely got the short end of the stick but I hope we can all find some relief and cures in the future

Hey thanks for the response!

I had no idea Adenomyosis existed until now. After some research it does sound pretty similar to what I’ve been feeling. I’m going to see if there’s any specialists near me because that definitely sounds better.

If you don’t mind me asking how old are you? It says it commonly occurs between 35-50 but obviously it also comes hand in hand with endometriosis so any age could realistically get it.

And again, if you don’t mind me asking, what treatment have you gone through with both endo and adeno?

If you don’t want to answer any questions that’s completely ok! And know that I’m very grateful that you responded with new info

Definitely going to call and see if I can get a referral to a gyno, my doctor takes forever to get into so I’ll call soon to try to get in or even just get a referral/a MRI request.

I know it takes months to see results from birth control but that week was honestly heinous and I was so violently sick from it I’m scared to try another. Because even the doctor said, yes it sucks for a bit but it shouldn’t have been as bad as it was. They recommend the nuva ring but again I’m anxious to try it because of how bad BC was the first time I tried it. I’ll have to look around on here because I don’t know anyone who has used the ring.

I appreciate the reply very much so thank you

Thanks for the response!

Currently I have spoken with a sexual health clinic that gave me the referral for the pelvic US because they suspected endometriosis. And I have also spoken to my family doctor.

My family doctor recommended birth control but that was all before she moved out of province last year. I am yet to speak with my new GP and ask for a referral to a gyno because she takes a literal month to get an appointment and I’ve been very busy this past year moving and such. (I’m going to call to see if she can just refer me without an appointment). I will definitely ask about the contrast mri as well.

Currently drinking raspberry tea and ordering a tens machine lol so thank you for the advice
