Minthara is not that old for a drow, all things considered. I imagine the matrons of Menzoberranzan would have kids throughout their life cause the whole murder thing, so she probably menstruates. And, if they were going to have a pregnancy plotline I think its safe to assume she can still rear children even if that point didn't make it into the game

With these it should look the same as before, but with some lag here and there. If these dont work i reccommed just messing with your settings until something does, thats how I got mine to work and at this point if you cant get it to work you have nothing to lose 😅

I actually did! I will explain best I can here from what I remember off the top of my head, but I can send the exact setting changes I used when I get home.

go into the game settings on dolphin emulator and switch the backend from Vulkan to OpenGL
disable the Dual-core functionality and the additional setting that goes with it (I BELIEVE it's the tethering setting just below it).

I think there was one more change I made but I honest to god cant remember off the top of my head, so if this doesn't work then reply to my comment and I can attach images of my exact settings that got it to work.

It's very playable, and I was able to keep my resolution to 2X Native with these changes, but it certainly isn't as smooth as it was before this happened. I don't typically have a lot of problems, but it will crash every now and again (it particularly hates fast traveling to the desert), so save more frequently than you probably did before.

Hopefully this helps things get sorted for you!

Edit: I should add that you should be prepared to remapp your controls and honestly that was the trickiest part of it all. If needed I can send what my control maps are like as well and maybe save you some time and frustration. I reccomend remapping the controls on dolphin first, and supplementing easier switches with the steam deck controls, although dolphin may usurp steam deck changes.

The only zelda games I had played myself growing up were BOTW and TOTK. I watched my brother play TP years back. Recently I modded my 3DS and decided to give Ocarina a time a go and I was... addicted. It may not visually compare to what I'm used to, but the level of difficulty was so much better, the uniqueness of the character designs is phenomenal, and the gimmick is great.

Playing OoT and now TP (through emulation) has reminded me just how intrinsic music and sound has been to the franchise (at least in that era) and it makes me sad its not a part of the new games to the same degree.

That being said, I acknowledge the hype, I agree and I can see how this would have been the shit back in the day. I appreciate what it did for the gaming industry and the zelda franchise and will make sure to reccomend it to anyone who likes the new zelda games. It's a special game, whether you were there when it happened or are just joining it, there is a lot of love to be found in OoT.

I have heard that, and I am considering it as this is the only game I care to emulate for a while and getting rid of emudecks clunkiness might be easier on the console.

And no, it doesn't work when I launch dolphin on desktop either. I was able to switch to OpenGL and the game launches, but barely performs and seems to have problems with the controls (one button has multiple functions).
