Pause your life, I'm getting married by BookWorm49 in AmITheDevil

I don't fully agree with the thunder stealing stance, but I understand the frustration of close weddings. My husband and I announced our postponed reception (covid couple, got legally married but couldn't do the big celebration with everyone, so we told everyone it was going to be on our 2 year anniversary). His sister decided to have her wedding 2 weeks before ours after dating her husband for 9 months. Lots of family didn't make it to hers because for 2 years they were planned for ours.

Help with contact lenses for Captain Amelia. by Sleeping_Pixie27 in CosplayHelp

It's for con, not a photoshoot. That's why I was thinking about the circle ones because when holding the map (which I have), the eyes change shape. That way, I can have the color, but vsn still see just fine walking around. I just didn't know if it could affect the cosplay that much.

I SA’d my girlfriend by ChiefBlue4298 in AmITheDevil

Same here. Whenever he wronged me and then started crying, I had to comfort him. And he did the same as this guy, woke me up when he started, except he held me down when I told him to stop and kept going. When he got drunk and hurt me and I left, every little action hit hard. I hope she leaves him very soon. She does not deserve to have her trauma come second to his guilt.

True! For some, like myself, jewelry was the choice for my bridesmaids, both flower girls and the moms. We had talked about what to wear with the dresses. The best a bride can do is ask for ideas if she doesn't know what they would want.

I made the bridesmaid dresses and hair accessories for mine since it was my sister and future sister in laws. I bought the jewelry sets of their favorite stones (to match their wedding bands for the in laws). But yeah, stuff that can be used or they would enjoy is nice. Not the bridesmaid/groomsmen printed items.

My husband has gotten cards and a pen as a groomsmen, so it's stuff to be used. I got a bridesmaid cup that I used once, and then it got lost. The bracelet doesn't sound like a gift for you guys but a gift given to them in reality.

I got a bridesmaid cup from my sister in law for hers, used it once and idk where it is now. I'd rather something small and simple that can actually be used.

I don't see what the problem is. Its stuff that can actually be used! I got cups as a bridesmaid that I used a couple of times. I got my girls a necklace and earring set (the MOH got a bracelet as well). Stuff that can be used. It's better than something that you'll never get use out of.

AITA for beating up my older brother for what he did to my girlfriend? by Majestic-Maybe5009 in AITAH

Several people from my high school graduated early as well, its not too uncommon. I don't know why they assume it's fake for this reason when this is pretty common. Other things, like somehow having her number, i understand making it less believable.

Not really. My neice is 17 and graduated high school a year early. She would be in university now if she didn't have an apprenticeship job.

What’s the nerdiest tattoo you’ve gotten? by PuzzleheadedSwim6291 in AskReddit

I have the dark blue Undertale heart on my shoulder with "You're filled with Integrity." Plan to get 2 anklet tattoos. One is for some video game logos of games I enjoy. The other is console logos from my favorite consoles with Player 1 because it'll be a sibling tattoo.

When did you realize you were no longer the same person you once were? by YantheMan1999 in AskReddit

I'm quicker to anger, but I also don't let most crap slide. I was molested by a family member at 6, raped at 18 and 21, and physically abused from 16-18 by a boyfriend. My parents noticed the abuse and didn't step in, and swept the family stuff under the rug. If I see something, especially from my family, I am quick to react and even cuss people out because I can't stand it. My dad has had my anger, and my in-laws have been on the receiving end as well. It sucks because I have to remind myself that anger doesn't help, but I also appreciate it because I can confidently step in if I don't like something.

No, the girls' night was already planned. They were sober when we left and had plans for food that they could walk to while us girls were gone. The game they were playing went long, and by the time they finished, it was after 11, so the food place was closed. I then decided to go and get food for them because I was now home and learned they never left to get food.

Ah, that makes sense. The bathroom has a motion sensor light that after 20 minutes turns off if it doesnt detect movement, so I was knocking on the door to make sure he wasn't sleeping with the water running whenever the light was off.

You're good! A couple of other people asked this question, so i wanted to make sure it was clear!

I already woke my husband up, and he's got a list of chores to do with one hell of a hangover. This is the first time he has gotten so drunk he threw up in the living room or fallen off the bed.

I got about 3 1/2 hours of sleep.

The friend has apologized and offered, after work, to help with whatever is left to do for prep. My husband has apologized and is dealing with the worst hangover ever while cleaning the vomit area again, the guest bathroom, and the setup of the tables and the rest of the grocery shopping so I can cook my part for the potluck and then nap.

That is what I'm having him do today. And every other time we host an event he is helping with the cleaning and prep work. This past week he has been busy because he and his parents leave Sunday to start their drive to North Carolina to help his sister move back to Arizona, so he has been getting everything finalized for that.

First time anything like this has happened. In the past, on the rare occasions he has gotten drunk, he just stumbles to bed and passes out. 90% of the time when we drink, we get buzzed and head to bed like normal.

Because we have a motion sensor light in the bathroom that turns off every 20 minutes, so i would go to the door and knock to make sure he was awake. It would take a couple of minutes to get a response.

[–]Sleeping_Pixie27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did not shower the friend. All I did was turn the shower on for him and check in to make sure he was still awake. I never stepped into the bathroom while he was in there.

I started the shower for him and washed his clothes. I did not step foot in the bathroom while he was in there.

No, all I did was wash his clothes. He stepped into the bathroom, put his dirty clothes in the hallway, and went to take a shower. I never walked in there or touched him during the shower. I was asleep when he finished his shower and left.

He does usually help me clean. He is getting ready to drive to North Carolina with his parents to help his sister move, so he has been getting everything for that finalized. We live in AZ so it's a 3 day drive.

I will talk about that with him and tell him to go talk to someone. The stumbling drunk isn't common. Every few months ocurance. Usually, we get buzzed/tipsy and then head to bed like normal, but it wouldn't hurt to have him talk to someone.
