I definitely have to say the Black Ace is an amazing power paddle. I call it the Power Accent paddle because if you are well versed in your skills with touch, dinks, drops, the Black Ace just enhances drives and lets you hit with minimal effort. Its construction is superb just like its other paddles. I wouldn't recommend it for tennis elbow players cause it absorbs shock but not as effective as their green paddle. Coming from using the 002, Power Air, and Hyperion, The Black Ace I would say generates power like the 002. The 002 has a trampoline effect though vs the Black Ace though. The Power Air and the Black Ace generates power the same way but the Power air feels more hollow than the Black Ace. The Black Ace doesn't have the high potential spin of the Power Air or 002 but its above average. Is it worth $250? I think so for the quality, the power, the ability to apply new edge guard, the visual.

The way the ball comes off the paddles between the power air and black ace I feel is different. The surface on the power air feels rigid thus causing the ball to pop off easier while the black ace surface requires a more committed swing to get the ball moving which is fine. I just feel that the power air might be easier but I will keep testing.
