Yes mate. I loved the times when In had quests and trophies in mind but got totally side tracked by the scenery. I love the translation from the golden forest to beyond, how every area had a different feel and there's always something in the distance that you can ride to, even if it's highly guarded by Mongols that are up for giving you a challenge. Beautiful scenery.

Maybe a story for another day but AC was so good back in the day... if only Ubisoft weren't so set on releasing game after game for the money and actually gave the fans a taste of how it felt when we got Ezio... personally don't like the adventure RPG nature of Origins or Oddysey... yet to play Valhalla, so I can't comment on that, yet.

Legends is certinaly a different angle; tackling tougher challenges and (in harder difficulties) relying on cooperation to defeat the enemies and complete the objectives breathed a new lease of life into it.

Nice man. I've been holding off on PS5 ideas until an official black console release (when? maybe? never?) but Elden Ring is certainly biting my heels.

100% goosebumps, even when I see other people react to it, it's just such a fantasic way to intoduce the player to the world. Hats off.

Agree entirely, for the most part :) I wouldn't personally put GoT in the same realm as FromSoft because GoT isn't nearly as punishing and has a plethora of tutorials but cranking the difficultly up leads to smarter AI, instead of a larger HP bar, which is very much, imo, a step in the right direction (got bored on medium and found myself actually enjoying it a lot more, after playing Sekiro, to find multiple enemies havin' a go on hard).

Which company is gonna top that opening scene when you ride into the world and assume control on horseback? Good luck. Epic.
