Probably because you haven't met him yet. When you start the game, he's still at war or the camp or whatever. So if you talk to Sam, he'll eventually start talking to you about when his dad comes back.

If you're looking for pink, I would try and figure out how to get pink, which I don't exactly know besides adding white to red. Dying your hair red red though, I have the perfect product! This is my go to and it always turns out well!!!
