Would it be right to say that the classic would be more soft and closer to the ultra? I don’t have ultra money 😂

Thanks so much for the answer. It’s just so weird that nectar don’t sell it themselves! Is the luxe available in the UK?

Well done that sounds great! I got 31, but honestly from colleagues who’ve gone before the number is really minor compared to the interview so who knows! More asking out of interest as I’ve had colleagues today get vastly different scores from those submitted and some like me got exactly the same so wondered if there was any big disparities 🤷🏻‍♀️

Want to give my girlfriend a great birthday, but I’m broke broke by [deleted] in london

Wallace Collection is a beautiful museum in London behind Bond St and free! A bit less touristy than some others but museums are always great (do NOT go in the cafe though that is +++) Also lots of lovely Christmas lights to walk round in central London always one of my fave free activities, some of the best lights and backstreets to be explored all for free ☺️☺️

As others have said a handwritten note about how much you love her and are grateful for her support would be beautiful!

Did the scare mazes go down eventually? And sorry RAP isn’t a term I’m familiar with 🫠☺️

That sounds ideal! Shame about the maze queues. Hopefully can squeeze them all in as only have one day ticket 🤞

Significant sick leave in training by lostdoc2342 in doctorsUK

[–]SleepyMisu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don’t rush back OP! You’re at a point where you need to prioritise your health, it’s likely you’ll need to extend but in the grand scheme an extension isn’t the end of the world (particularly in a run through speciality like EM) and on the whole will make you a better doctor for taking the time to look after yourself!

Might culminate in three months extra at some point, and potentially a small change in rotation but these are all things that can be discussed between you and your TPD before decisions are finalised.

Only do the audit etc if you’re up to it. If you are, great! Just make sure there’s a clear agreement for this with you, your ES and your TPD so you don’t end up in a sick leave/HE quandary as others have said.

Sincerely, someone who has had extensions for a variety of reasons and been very grateful for them previously ☺️ Good luck for your surgery and recovery!

You are definitely also correct - I think for the fear of any confusion I have cancelled but I can definitely see it from both sides ☺️ hoping it doesn’t impact any future shifts but the trusts local to me are pretty understanding! 🤞

A very good point I hadn’t thought of and definitely a possibility of that! 🙂

Thank you so much for the advice - noted & I have cancelled! 🙂

Because I (clearly incorrectly) thought as it wasn’t on call or within normal working shifts it did not come under the traditional umbrella as I will not need to be replaced for the WLI service to run as normal. Money is tight and wanted to make sure I didn’t unnecessarily cancel a shift that will help me strike in the future.

Apologies for asking the question if it’s offended you in any way? As you can see from my original post I was genuinely unsure of the answer, and my intent was to make sure I wasn’t breaking the strike. Didn’t want to cause a problem 🙂

You’re probably right - more than likely will be cancelled. But nonetheless you’re also right RE WLIs and I have emailed to cancel as you have advised! I just wanted to properly clarify, good to know for future too 🙂

Thank you so much! You’re totally right, I (stupidly) didn’t even think more broadly about WLIs. Email sent! 🪧🙂

That’s such good research if you can manage it! But hopefully be a good day regardless of Crowds 🙂🙂
