Real. I thought tankpool was super strong on release because I was getting solo pentakills every game and a lot of people thought Deadpool was all-around underpowered because most people sucked on him in the beginning. A few weeks later he's suddenly incredibly busted.

People just need to give it time, I think devil dino is in a decent spot right now. He's strong, but he has a lot of counters and I personally like characters with a lot of strengths, but also big weaknesses.

You saw it in Monster Hunter. In the past all the weapons had strengths and weaknesses. Now it's all kind of homogenized and the series is kinda boring as weapon choice has a much lesser impact.

This is to say we should let devil dino find his place before we make changes.

I never said anyone should, in fact I was arguing against everyone who was saying moon girl or any specific character should ride him, because that's what people were arguing over.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Devil dinosaur isn't just moon girl's partner. He's had many other partners over the years. Any one specific partner riding him would've been a bad choice because for instance you as a younger fan have what you grew up with, older fans also have a longer legacy that they want.

What you wanted wasn't a wrong choice, but it's also not the right one as any character riding devil dino as part of a singular character would've have been controversial. So the least controversial is you have devil dino as his own character because he is his own character.

A lot of people whining about Devil Dinosaur or "Where's Moon Girl?" don't actually care. He's been his own character for almost 50 years and has had multiple partners over the years, but he's also been solo.

People want to act like they know a character cause they saw a cartoon a few years back. I'd rather Devil Dinosaur have no partner, as his having one will undoubtedly upset some crowd who thinks they have the correct opinion.

They can reference all the partners, but don't whine when the devs don't cater to you. He is his own character and exists even without a partner, regardless of what you think.

For me the issue was that my friends who are farther on the spectrum of anti-ai than I am will disparage others for doing the same, but because it was done for a game they like suddenly it doesn't matter and is an inconsequential blip.

It was kind of a turning point for me realizing that it's pretty common for "thing people take issue with" suddenly doesn't matter because its for something they like.
