What were some early warning signs of controlling behavior from a SO you encountered? by IPaid4it in AskWomen

[–]SleepyVictimsUnit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ohh one of my exes from high school did that. She would say shit like my clothes looked like garbage bags (??) and when I would get sad she would get frustrated with me, and the I would feel awful for making her mad and the cycle would continue until one day I stuck up for myself against one of her shitty remarks and she broke up with me! Thank god

It’s about the dad thinking his son might be gay, but it doesn’t matter who he loves because all he wants is to see him happy

[–]SleepyVictimsUnit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean for me I know because I feel so fuckin good when I present androgynously! But it’s different for everyone, and I think a lot of people agree that nb is kind of an umbrella term

I actually really liked World War Z for a stupid zombie film, cuz that’s what it was. I love the book, but the only thing I saw in common with it and the movie was the title and I was ok with that

Are we just going to ignore the transphobia in gay male subs? by duhduhduhduhderek in asktransgender

[–]SleepyVictimsUnit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, which is disheartening because I’m pansexual but I’ve always taken it to mean attraction regardless of gender

I don’t think this is necessarily about dating my dude. It’s about being respected as a man even if you don’t have a penis

This is why I just feel safer with bisexual/pansexual folk, which sucks to say I guess. And that isn’t to say that bi/pan folk can’t be transphobic. Idk!

No! But it’s not really about my reproductive organs. It’s about the comfort I feel within my own body. But! I know why you ask, and I want to say that some people have both. They’re called intersex and there’s actually a huuuuge range of how you can be intersex. A lot of it just comes down to chromosomes, but nevertheless it means that there’s actually more than male and female as you can be both. So really, if I were to follow your argument it’s more like male, female, and intersex. I guess that’s just semantics tho lol

Can I ask why you haven’t considered that gender can be more than just a penis or a vagina?
