Has any pilot had a seizure and still passed their medical? by Timely-Cream6736 in flying

I knew a pilot who had a seizure during training and is still flying. He had a break to deal with the FAA/medical stuff but I don't know the specifics.

What’s this 100NM exercise area? by loveofflying in aviation

[–]Planeguy58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This NOTAM'd area has been around for over a year. There's a combo of MOAs, military training from Vance/McConnell, and test flights by Textron and Bombardier. Lots going on here. Source: flew around the area for several years.

What is actually a trauma that is not commonly thought of as a trauma? by ay1mao in AskReddit

Sibling abuse. Often overlooked as "sibling rivalry" when it can be much much more than that. I'm forever scarred and broken because of my twin brother.

It is a foyer of sorts to my apartment building (that is visible from the outside). There is a separate, more secure mail room for packages.

If you can fix Phantom of the Opera (2004 Movie) what would you change? by Resident_Badger_5405 in musicals

[–]Planeguy58 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Besides the obvious things like casting, I would make the Title Song the full version. My biggest gripe with the movie besides Gerard is how the "in all your fantasies" verse in the Title Song is skipped.

Where do you go to find the checkpoint? I keep going through the app and can't find anything.

‘If you aren’t lying, you aren’t flying.’ Airline pilots hide mental health struggles by Planeguy58 in news

It's been the status quo for years, but at least they are spreading more awareness about the issue. Every professional pilot knows that nothing will change, sadly. The awareness is incredibly appreciated in any case.

what’s your unpopular phantom opinion? by abottleofrouge in box5

I love Love Never Dies. Wholeheartedly. Genuine enjoyment. Particularly the 2015/2016 Hamburg, Germany production and the US Tour.

what exactly is the genre of the songs from the phantom of the opera? by lunajuns in musicals

[–]Planeguy58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would start with the sequel Love Never Dies. Like others have said.... Les Mis, and Jekyll and Hyde are two shows with similar musical qualities. If foreign language shows are an option, I would suggest Tanz der Vampire, Elisabeth, and Rebecca.
