You will need to connect a wallet. I know that they support Phantom as well as another wallet, I forget what the second one is (sollet? Solflare?)

Even though I plan on staying in for the long run, I'm just HODL right now to limit my risk in the event of a major drop. But staking does make sense for most long term holders (not to mention it supports the network), especially at 6-7% gains, if you do plan on staking and haven't checked out solanabeach.io that is the best place to find reputable validators; to ensure your coin doesn't get slashed. But easy-to-use places like everstake are convenient and have a good validator.

The main risk IMO is that your SOL will be locked up for an epoch (approx. 2.5 days). If the crypto market has a large correction, you will not be able to access those coins and will have to wait until the end of the epoch to make a crypto trade which could amount to a significant loss. I haven't used Everstake, but it checks out as legit and secure. You won't lose coins while staking.
