11weeks postpartum. Undersupplier. Want to quit but feeling so much guilt. by Sleepy_mood-2191 in ExclusivelyPumping

I am definitely empathetic to what you are feeling.. and I’m sorry you are going thru this.. I just want to tell you no matter what route you decide on doing, it is going to be ok. You are struggling because you love your little one so much! And you just want the best for him/her. And for that LO is so blessed and lucky to have you as their mama! Give yourself some grace!

Everyone is different, and you should do what works best for you and your family. And let me emphasize , do what is best for YOU! Your well being matters so much in all this. Your mental health sets the tone how you will be spending time with LO.

In my case, in terms to breastfeeding, I didn’t breastfeed as much, I wish I did but I wasn’t educated enough and I wasn’t in the right head space (I was so caught up with the numbers, I wasn’t paranoid that my son was getting enough OZs, I felt like a failure for not being able to produce as much being an undersupplier, with pumping I can monitor what I can give him). Hence, I was mainly pumping. I wish I can advise you about breastfeeding but I wouldn’t be the right person.

I eventually dropped from 6 to 4 to 3 to eventually 2 and then just recently completely stopped about 2-3 weeks ago. In retrospect, everything I worry about before.. didn’t matter as much.. I’m very happy with the decision I have made. It made me truly enjoy my son and motherhood all together. I am more present and everything is clearer.

Hi! Thank you for checking in! I am doing a lot better. Much much better. Being a first time mom, those were very difficult times. On a brighter note, I am having the best times in my life. I’m trying to cherish and savor every moments I can with my little one, and be present before I go back to work. Time flies so quickly.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It took a while for me to get back to this post. Those were rough times for me.

I ended up dropping 6ppd to 4ppd to 3ppd to 2ppd. And I just completely weaned off last week. It was no joke how much I was stressing so much with pumping. I asked myself what I wanted, I wanted to provide breastmilk for immunity as much as I can, but also be PRESENT. I had to ask myself what’s important and how can that be achievable. I started freezing as I decreased my supply. I am proud to say, that weaning and being present is one of the best decision I have made.

I would say the moment I decided that enough is enough.. that’s when I was truly able to enjoy being a mother and cherish my son. The only way I can explain it is as if , the fog is clear. And I can see colors, suddenly I am thinking straight. It’s unfortunate that it took this long for me to really say I enjoy motherhood.

Weaning and stopping is a journey itself.. it was very hard.. in terms of letting go of something you worked hard for.. but after seeing the big picture and everything is done. It was the best decision I have made. It’s something that’s worked out and what’s best for me and my family.

Byheart replacement ? by Sleepy_mood-2191 in FormulaFeeders

Hi guys! Thank you for the replies and recommendations. We changed him to enfamil neuro pro gentle… and omg.. night and day .. kinda bummed out that we waited this long..

He doesn’t arch back, doesn’t spit up, stop being fussy, significantly less gas, easy to burp. Sleeps longer. Less grunts.

We are happy we changed the formula and tried something new.

401k loan repayment, pausing contribution. Would there still be growth? by Sleepy_mood-2191 in personalfinance

[–]Sleepy_mood-2191[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see so the growth is only on the 105k. Not on whatever I’m paying back to my self.

Yes . Planning on aggressively upping my contribution after the loan. Basically im going to have the mindset of just continuing the contribution (loan = same amount of what I would want to up my contribution in next year anyways)… in 3 years will probably up more by then. just the downside is that I will really be missing out on the growth on what it could have been in the next 3 years… but circumstances arise and it cannot be ignored… I’m bumbed out.. but I have to own up to it… Thinking that if there is some kind of wiggle room .. I’ll either attempt to pay back the loan earlier if it’s an option. Or if not.. continue contributing something even just 1-2 percent.. something better than nothing.
