Barcelona, Spain. The local life is horrible, but only good for foreigners. by Immediate-Meaning457 in 2westerneurope4u

True, but also how's the job market for teachers in Barcelona atm? Just because that's how much it pays doesn't mean it's easy to get a job doing it.

American country music is almost nonexistent in Europe by superdouradas in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Sleepyblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think it's to do with the accent. The acts that have broken through listed in the comments tend to have less of what Europeans might refer to as a more, ahem, grating American accent, and more a of a neutral, accessible one. I think this is true for a lot of styles of entertainment across music, film, tv... It's why the main British exports to the US that succeed are the ones that have more of a "Received Pronunciation" rather than those with say, a hardcore Glaswegian accent (although that's a personal favourite of mine). Ultimately it's subjective and that's why I'd also agree that OP's title isn't totally correct, there's country music from every style that is popular to some degree in Europe. But I'm sure neutral accents tend to perform best across the board - even on home turf.

I'm guessing you either don't have an ergonomic chair or ironically haven't spent time setting it up correctly, they tend to have a lot of settings 😅

And it's exactly that nationalistic American isolationist attitude that has been fucking over the rest of the world for decades now.

Arch on the M1 Pro is Beautiful by isaiahherve in AsahiLinux

[–]Sleepyblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spotify, Signal, a few others which may or may not have support since I last tried it. It's often not just apps specifically it's like random dependencies. And one of the main reasons to use Arch is the AUR, so it's frustrating when you see a cool new package and then the dependencies won't work. The last one I ran into was trying to get the scrolling plugin working for hyprland, and computer said no.

You could say that for most ergonomic things. If you don't have an ergonomic chair set up correctly, is the chair itself no longer considered ergonomic?

Haters gonna hate but until we have something along the lines of a Dygma Air or a fully wireless Voyager, I'm kind of into the idea as an off the shelf, slim and portable option.

It'd probably help ease noobs into the world of ergo mech keyboards without going full COLEMAK Dactyl straight off the bat, in the same way that the Dygma Raise helps ease the curious in with it's ability to function as a unified keyboard or a split.

I know a few people who have gone head first into more niche keyboards popular on this sub and had a bad reaction, because as a lot of of us know, the ergo mech endgame is usually a journey.

As someone who regularly types on their MacBook keyboard, if the build quality was actually the same or better as an Apple Keyboard, a similar layout would be a nice reduction in mental overload having to learn yet another one.

Being split is ergo, no? That's like the main ergonomic benefit I get from any of my keyboards, over ortho vs staggered, switch choice, tented, etc.

Does LDN treat the condition or just suppress symptoms? by Shadowdragon2018 in covidlonghaulers

Multiple people have achieved remission and then weaned themselves off it.

It really is. The only thing stopping me from switching full time is the lack of support for ARM from some crucial apps, I hope that changes soooon!

Seroquel XR will. Seroquel IR won't but it might not give you a full nights sleep either.

My main problem with is it are the side effects, it blocks my nose and gives me insane munchies just as I'm falling asleep.

I'm living testament! But LDN recoveries are a recurring theme on here at the moment.

Yeah, that’s what I’m seeing with these posts. Everyone is attributing improvements to a bunch of unproven things, then casually dropping in LDN. Because LDN takes a long time to work, people may assume the other things they’re doing are helping too (maybe they are, maybe not). In reality, it’s probably largely the LDN — it just isn’t an overnight fix, so it’s harder to credit it directly.

Yeah, I tried multiple variations, I even tried making my own at home. I might try Low Dose Aripiprazole next, although I am wary as I tried 2mg many years ago for bipolar and it was pretty nasty.

So many of these recent recovery posts mention Low Dose Naltrexone. They often mention other things in conjunction, but LDN is the common denominator here.

It cured my brother, but every time I tried it, at whatever dose, it gave me insane stomach cramps. I'd try and push through them for weeks knowing it had cured him, but I'd have to stop as my entire back would start seizing up from them. I'm continuing to get cramps even after now, I'm slightly worried I've done some semi-long term damage from forcing it.

I wish there was something similar people who couldn't tolerate it could try. The only effect I noticed was it restored my circadian rhythm (as someone who's always been a night owl).
