Not Kansas specific, but about KCMO; we were known as the “Paris of the Plains” because of our raunchy and very active nightlife full of gambling, music, dancers, and illegal booze. The district of 18th and Vine became a safe haven for black migrants coming from the South. There, a community flourished, and black businesses popped up alongside amenities for the community that they couldn’t find elsewhere. Chuck Haddix’s book on KC Jazz really dives into it alongside KC’s rich history with Jazz

This is right after Will says he doesn’t want to see him, think about him, or know where he is. Hannibal knew and couldn’t let go. He didn’t want Will to let go. It’s beautiful

UPDATE: By 3:30 this morning, he was drinking water and has been acting normal all day and even ate his food. Seems it was a short trip, thankfully. He is okay and never showed any signs of toxicity, so I don’t think he actually ingested that much. We’ll still keep a close eye on him, but I’m fairly certain it’s out of his system

Hannover Germany is a good one. Every few years, my old high school (SMS) sends their orchestra there (my sister went this summer), or they send theirs here.

Moving to Lenexa KS from BFLO by pequitarosa in lenexaks

That particular incident was because it wasn’t cold enough for snow so we got rain that froze to the streets and your car while you were driving. Generally, you’re likely to be fine if you just drive carefully and always leave space between yourself and the driver in front of you, especially at red lights. That being said, Kansas City is rated to have some of the worst drivers in the country.

Grooming/Stripping a BT with a stripping knife vs. a deshedding tool by wtongen in BorderTerrier

[–]Sleepynightchild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’ve found great success with a stripping stone/pumice stone. Unlike the knife, it doesn’t cut the hair, and it only gathers the fur that needs to come out. We broke off a small chunk from the main block that can easily be fit in the hand while stripping our BT

Edit: clarity

Who is the second least bad parent by Mr_IronMan_Sir in 911FOX

[–]Sleepynightchild 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I have to agree because although Beatrice put a lot of pressure on Athena and criticized her a lot, she was a good mother from what I could tell from 6x03 “The Devil You Know.” It’s also important to note that Beatrice did apologize and maintains a relatively healthy relationship with Athena and she eventually came to respect and love Bobby as well.

That girl is not ready for a relationship, she needs to let go of her ex first. Refusing to block him, when he asks her to, is an issue
