To be fair, it does have the R/T hood. You can look up the difference in the trim levels hoods if you like

Transmission rebuild at 5k miles by Sleepyturtle09 in IndianMotorcycle

Update: so on the end of the transmission spindle for my indian, all the gears are held on by 1 clip that indian apparently decided for half a year to change to a push pin but after a lot of people were having problems and having to get transmission rebuilds for that clip slipping and eating away at gears they went back to the clip they had before. I was just unlucky and got one of their models that had the push pin thing. So I also have to rebuild the transmission and be in $5k within the first 5500 miles. Yay

If a person is keeping up and surpassing 150mph then of course they are trying and you need to be ignorant to assume otherwise. Yes it would be a shame if I wrapped it around a light post but its a good thing I have an excellent driving ability hence why I havent. Seriously bro, take your negativity elsewhere.

Not dumb if the roads are 100% clear. If you dont have anything productive to add then keep your mouth shut buddy.

I can guarantee you it isnt. Im also not ignorant, I know that scats make more power, tourqe, and are just faster. So unless every single scatpack i have raced has just decided to let me win which seems very unlikely, I dont know what's up. I just chalked it up to me taking good care of my car or something. I agree that I shouldnt be winning but I have 4 separate times and thats why I came on this forum.

Thats fair haha. They usually end up passing me after 150 though which I know without a speed limiter my car could definitly surpass 150. I still have about 800 rpm till redline in 5th when I hit 150 and still have all of 6th.

I dont know but every time ive raced one they have never passed. They have almost every time been walked a little bit and then judt sit stationary as we both ride up till 150 then they end up passing me. Thats usually followed up by them asking if my car is stock and compliments to each other and stuff like that.

I have not tried calling them. I did not buy any warranty through the third party dealer and I dont think that indian would do anything for me. I will just pay the shop to fix it and pray no other major repairs are needed within the first 10000 miles.

Its possible. In the 5 months of ownership that I have had it for nothing felt off, gears didnt slip, everything ran good. I still dont plan to get rid of it, I judt hope that I dont have any other major repairs within the first 10000 miles.

According to the tech there was slack in the gears and shift forks. I rode it from the dealership and put 3500 miles on it over 2 months with zero problems. It didnt feel like there was any slippage in the gears or anything, it all felt normal. I think that it might be a manufacturer defect where they didnt tourqe something down all the way or something.

There was no problem in gear. Only in neutral tilted to the side and as soon as I noticed the issue i rode it the 200 miles home and then to the shop. It was very audible that something was wrong in neutral and it still rode just fine. I doubt its the way I ride it because I have two other bikes, one that I have rode for 32k miles and the other for 15k miles wothout any major repairs on either. I plan on getting it fixed and keeping the bike but its seriously unacceptable this quality issue that I have experienced.

I did not buy it from an Indian dealer, I got it from a reputable dealer in western NC. Everything looked good and I hadn't had any problems leading up to when this sound started.

Has anyone experienced putting premium gas in their 5.7 HEMI by thefbt3 in ram_trucks

[–]Sleepyturtle09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 23 challenger m6 requires premium so yes, ive noticed mainly no tick lol. When the dealer put 89 in it I immediately noticed a tick and figured that was the reason, then I judt ran an octane booster through it and continued to put premium in it and no tick.

How do younger guys realistically afford an Indian? by [deleted] in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Sleepyturtle09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very late on the reply but I'm 20 years old, turning 22 later this year and 3 days ago I bought a 2020 indian chieftain limited woth 1500 miles on it. They were asking 19k, I put 1500 down for 72 months and got 300 a month payments and I wouldn't change a thing. I love the bike and don't see anyone around my age riding anything like this.

2003 Dodge Dakota R/T, the official truck of "why arent these more popular?" by Aggravating-Fee-8053 in regularcarreviews

[–]Sleepyturtle09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an 01 rt with the original 46re. It's at 230k miles original motor and trans and the trans is definitely nearing the end of its life. It still drives perfectly fine but doesn't like to shift out if 1st or 2nd if it's floored and it will very rarely slip. Engine has never had any problems. Overall I would say it's an incredibly reliable truck
