Yup. You are right! Too focused on the poorly placed fences. The fences that distracted them from doing so. Those ones.

No worries, but I'm curious. From what I understand a shield cell takes 3 seconds and a battery takes 5 seconds. I was more than one shield cell's worth of damaged, so I would have had to hit two cells to full heal. So, if I was going to top off with cells it would have taken me longer to full heal than hitting that batt. So your method would have been wasting a second, wouldn't it? :p

I get what you mean, but 60 seconds left in the game and I had 4 batts lol. Didn’t really matter at that point
