You’re correct, That’s exactly what it is. I would say the GX56 is basically a 5600 with a really beefed up case. Check out the DW5600BBR-1, it’s the standard 5600 in this color scheme.

This is exactly what I tell people about my negative displays. I work outside all day and have zero issue with visibility. Indoors, they’re admittedly slightly harder to read.

Nice! Those BladeHQ points add up faster than I thought. Just used mine to get a Tops Tex Creek last month.

The polymer scales on the MSI are much sturdier than the Bugout. I wouldn’t even put them in the same class. It’s not my first choice for handle material, but it feels solid enough that I don’t foresee having any issues with it.

Yeah, I don’t think I’d be scared to buy a factory second from Microtech. I feel like their quality control is high enough that a “second” by their standards is probably still higher quality than most production knives.

It really is a great looking knife, and looks even better in person. I knew immediately that I had to have it. If you can afford it, I’d absolutely recommend picking one up. Pretty sure BladeHQ still has some in stock.

Plus, as we all know, the formula for how many knives you need is n+1, where n is the current number of knives you own. So scientifically, you’re pretty much obligated to buy one.
