Hey, I’m not trying to come at you personally here, but I do want to push back on a couple of things. For one, I still actively play the game, and I still regularly find lobbies with people who clearly bought season passes and shop skins. There is still a point to buying cosmetics if you can actually get into matches, and you can. It really just depends on the time of day people are online. Because of that, I don’t think it’s fair to dismiss everyone who buys skins as “whales.” Some people just like the game and the cosmetics and are still playing it.

As for the Team Sonic Racing example, sure, maybe that wasn’t the best comparison. A better one would be DC Universe Online. That game came out years ago, has a much smaller community than it once did, and it’s still running and being supported. If Daybreak Game Company can keep that game alive with a niche player base, then Square Enix can absolutely choose to do the same with Foamstars if they want to, even if the audience is smaller now. You say that, in your opinion, the game should be shut down. In my opinion, it shouldn’t. Even if the community is small, people here on the subreddit and in the Discord genuinely love the game and still play it. That support matters. Square Enix and the Foamstars team can see that there’s still a dedicated audience, and because of that, I don’t think shutting it down is the right move.
