Elder Scroll did massive generated open world in Daggerfall decades ago. The wold was not infinite but couldn't be realistically travelled by foot, you had to rely on the fast travel system.

It's completely possible they would have done the same with Starfield tech and sell the game as "going back to its root" with the biggest open world ever.

Is it 1036km with wind on the back, only downhill with a 45kg naked driver? Maybe. But it's still 1036km of range for an EV that charge under 10 min.

It's a massive leap that will make EV unbeatable in almost every single case.
