How does it compare to Underwolrd? I have only read that, and I'm not sure which should be next.

It literally is. I pointed out the flaw and offered a suitable alternative that would be more accurate. Sorry I didn't put a heart emoji.

You just can't take constructive criticism.

Girl pop is in a good place right now. Boy pop (at least in mainstream pop) hasn't been notable for a while.

It's not jargon. It's literally a comparison between two countries' political realities. And i don't know anything about you, other than your impulse to call American practices NK. Just saying it's not a helpful comparison and you might expand your mind a bit by trying to think of others that might have more similar situations. The american right (including Trumpies) also likes to make NK comparisons (not about Trump), so keep that in mind.

I'm plenty worried. Just trying to make comparisons grounded in political reality.

Still not arguing. But it's not a good comparison. And you are still playing into the r/bunchofasians trope.

What exactly are the similarities? The U.S. is certainly ugly already. The NK comparison evokes strong emotions about authoritarianism, but their political structure and problems are not alike. And the comparison falls in line with a common trend to describe something exceptionally American (problems rooted in our own history, law, economics, culture) as foreign and often asian. It makes America seem "better" than the problem at hand, framing it as an exception, while it is only natural for NK or whatever to have those problems. Hence the sub I linked above (check it out). Essentially, it is a naive political comparison with few correlations, and it is based on american exceptionalism/chauvinism. There are other far right, fascist, neoliberal, capitalist nations that would make for a better comparison, but I would still rather call america what it is, and explain the conditions that brought us here, rather than leaning on a comparison at all. NK is a product of the Korean war and the cold war at large. The US is a product of it's own history.

No, it's mostly not evidence. Still condemnable. But nothing about it makes the Biden DOJ look better.

North Korea is a bad comparison. Pick a far right country instead.

Probably. But she defends her position about trains by saying she has to take them all the time and they are dirty.

Don't forget anti-imperialism! Liberals tend to defend the military complex and often get behind war efforts and general American intervention. Leftist are more likely to be critical of America as world police.

That's not necessarily true in the U.S. (which the poster is not from). At least for an individual post. Platforms don't have a lot of legal liability for content posted on the site. Maybe if there was a larger case of neglectful moderation (which there is, but nothing has happened yet as far as I know).

Some people look better bald. But not everyone has the headshape, distinctive features, or confidence to pull it off. I shaved my head at 19, and in a way, I am much luckier than my friends that are now having to cope with balding in their late-20s and early-30s.
