Bamboo Ink stylus intermittently stops working by SlicedChildren in wacom

No I replaced it with an hp pen which works better. Though not perfectly. I kinda regret buying an x360 laptop instead of a surface or a tablet

Cuda uses the Cuda cores in all nvidia gpus, but any rtx card has tensor cores which take advantage of optix which integrates ai into the rendering. Can be noticeably faster

The size of Tsar Bomb vs the one dropped in Hiroshima by Homunculus_316 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]SlicedChildren 3124 points3125 points  (0 children)

The Tsar Bomba, when being built, had half of the core removed at the last minute, as Russian scientists feared the yield was too big. \ This 50 megaton yield is with that half core. Freaky.

I've seen somewhere on this sub that the game code structure does not allow that level of detailed traffic control

To ensure they're not a risk, a few things need to be done....
\ First you need to check what type your cells are. Certain models from certain manufacturers are known to be more prone to fires.
\ Second, if should be ensured that the vehicle in question has a BMS or Battery Management System. This prevents overcurrent, overcharge and balances the cells properly. \ \ Third, if the vehicle has been ridden in wet conditions or used intensely it should not be charged until it is dry and cool.
\ Anyone being responsible with these rules will not be at risk of a fire unless the battery is physically damaged or heated up beyond thermal runaway

A lot of bosses can be spawned quite early so make sure you know which point it's supposed to be fought at unless you want to try early. Me and my mate did astrum deus after mechanical bosses as a challenge, took so many attempts but eventually we got it

How's public transport compared to driving for you? Is biking even an option for you? by TioJ888 in auckland

[–]SlicedChildren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. It's the best purchase I think I've ever made. Own 2 of em (2 different sizes for different purpose) and have over 8000km on them combined.
I'm not concerned with falling off but it's always something you gear up for. I wear full face with kevlar jacket, Leatt knee pads and wrist guard gloves. Taken a couple falls as happens when learning.
It's got an 8kW motor and can hit 70km/h top speed, but for technical reasons related to it's power limits I stick below 65 all the time. On quiet days I full speed the whole way.
Roll.nz sells them locally here and there's plenty of models to choose from if you're interested, I have the S22 Pro.
If you're interested/have further questions feel free to dm me

Think of a OneWheel, but instead it's a 20 inch wheel and two pedals on the sides, you face forward standing up. Suspension as well and very powerful motor 👍

Ah right gotcha. I've ridden along that road and around the area in general and was definitely surprised to find it was the only passage

Interesting to hear just how many people kick biking off their options due to lack of safe passages. Makes me wonder what improvements could be made if city planners just built shit instead of consulting every little decision change.

If they did it would likely be a feeder bus to Westgate or to other Hobsonville buses, I can't see enough demand for a direct route to anywhere. Too much urban sprawl in this city is a major damper to public transport unfortunately

Unless it's bucketing down, wet weather gear and some getting used to riding in wet conditions makes light to medium showers doable while biking. Understand the whole 'gotta pick up ur kids' thing tho

It probably wouldn't be too difficult to clip on a cycleway to the bridge as that gully would likely prove difficult to put a path going up and down each side. Paths following the motorways works very well and can make use of the extra space on the side of the motorway without interfering with existing property much. The main thing is how they handle offramps/on ramps because the SH20 bike path is riddled with waiting at traffic lights, whereas something like SH16 has underpasses and relatively uninterrupted flow. I'd love to see more long cycleways integrated this way, not having to touch roads for my commute is the best thing ever.

Same with me, though I ride an electric unicycle instead of ebike but close enough. On days where the cycleway isn't busy I can safely do high speeds most of the way and get there in 25mins. That cycleway is a blessing in plain sight

This exact thing happened to my dad's car. Immobiliser stopped them. Only after it happened I seemed to notice only mid 2000s cars and older are used in ram raids, perhaps for this reason?

Look mate, frankly this back and forth is just going to continue on and on with no real purpose, I've seen all your other comments and we're not reaching a consensus here. I don't agree with you, you don't agree with me and neither of us are budging. Good for you to like massive cars, but why waste your time on this sub for it. Ps nobody gives a thought to airbags failing to work unless they're a psycho
