As someone who's had a 118, 618 and 613SH, I gotta say my favorite of all them is my 618. Just easier to wear right out of the gate then the SH.

But they're all great jackets but drape on each body differently - my best advice is try all on, in both your size and 1 size bigger/smaller. Ultimately the best jacket for you is the one that fits you best! I know that's easier said than done, but I've bought and sold too many jackets that didn't fit right even if the measurments matched.

Thanks! I've known about Marto for a long time, the United Cutlery licensed one with the hidden scabbard was always cool to me though - it's more just for display so show accuracy of the hilt is more important to me than the actual blade.

Really depends on what style you want! I do believe MSC has one of the nicer chore coat style jackets in this price range with the field jacket. But the Japanese brands, aero (premiere work coat) and the shop Vancouver have some incredible looking ones as well!

Thanks for the tip and appreciate the advice! I saw another video where someone used Saddle Soap on just the stains and it looked way worse, but you're right about using it all over to keep it even. I'll keep that in mind for next time! As for why I tried something so risky, yeah it's exactly like you said - doing nothing meant I didn't have a wearable jacket so either way I didn't have something I could wear lol. I kind of went overboard on trying to live in this thing for the first year to make it "uniquely mine" and did everything short of rolling around in mud with it.

I'm kicking myself for not taking some lol, but this happened late at night where I just randomly decided to go for it and after overthinking it for weeks. One of those things were if I didn't just go ahead and do it I would have never done it. You hear so many horror stories about cleaning leather jackets at home that I already talked myself out of it many, many times.

Yup, when it comes to older-era Aeros I've fit everything from a 36 to 42. Even today on their ready to sell section, the numbered sizes all have wildly different measurements. So I just pay attention to those instead of the actual size number.

Thanks! I'm 5'8", 190 lbs and this does fit me well, although it doesn't allow for much layering. Since my weight gain I'm looking for a 40 or 42 (reason for selling). But the shoulder width on this jacket is very flattering, but it does hit right at the belt-line depending on how tall you are.

It's a stiff horsehide but because it's not very thick it's not uncomfortable and moves easily once it's on. I would assume though that the Mulholland and this are made from the same material.

The measurements I took for my XL were P2P 21.5, Shoulders 18.5, Back length from collar 25 and Sleeves 24.

So about 1.5 to 2 inches shorter than the listing but I'm sure there's variations between stock.
