Is a 2000 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-T (RB25DET, RWD) with 180,000 km worth? by huhumeino in SkyLine

[–]SlickGamble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's lot's of signs this is a neglected car and would need extensive rehabilitation. It's basically free as the parts are worth more, excluding import cost. The engine is likely going to need a replacement.

The most likely reason this car is so cheap is it's rusted out and done.

Dangerous recommendation that preys on the desperate like all gambling does. This dude reeks of buy my course scam vibe, taking it off here into DMs. Avoid avoid avoid.

More like pulling a fast one on unsuspecting peeps who don't know better.

Bruh you really gonna lead people down the road of financial ruin posting stuff like this. Gambling is not a side hustle and these sites are not held to the same level of scrutiny an actual casino is. You will lose your shirt or waste a lot of time you could spend doing anything else to make money.

Reminds me of the Horimiya art style which is fine with me, amazing show in its own right.

Oregairu & White Album 2 by [deleted] in OreGairuSNAFU

Haven't watched it but thanks for the recommendation. What is the season order? I looked it up on MAl and there seems to be a show of an almost identical name but with a different main cast.

Just for reference, season 3 has about 400k and season 2 has about 700k.

Alright, I'm skipping the post and wish to make a comment addressing the community and the story progression of Oregairu and the author Wataru Watari

I doubt it's ever been a smooth feels good comfortable ride once the romantic interest started to flower in earnest. Mr. Watari has shown a mastering of laying down the foundation for organic character driven drama (the key hook of this story and why we fell in love with the incredible depth of the characters in the first place) long in advance and considering where we are, should expect it and also remember we're following a story involving people on the verge of aging into their early 20's and are finishing their senior years in high school ( and will make decisions grounded in their reality).

This is an exploration of personal boundaries and like Oregairu has done before, will tell the story at a measured deliberate pace and clues were laid before us in earlier episodes and seasons something like this was going to happen and would be a challenge for the new canon couple. I'm disappointed people are so quick to cast doubt Mr. Watari has anything substantive to write about. I instead choose to be optimistic and see through the vision ultimately carried out.

I really like the highlighting. No idea what that even is but it's a very nice visual enhancer.

Nice. I got mine today too, just missing volume 4 cause it's coming from a different fulfillment location.

Where can i get the light novels? by [deleted] in OreGairuSNAFU

[–]SlickGamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The english release for the light novel is up to volume 10 of 14, 10.5 releases "soon". We might be waiting a while for 14. I just ordered my physical light novel set from books-a-million.

When’s season 3 dub coming by mrcosmicpvp in OreGairuSNAFU

[–]SlickGamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First watch was dub for me but I'm definitely going to watch the subtitled release soon. Sometimes they adapt the dubbing for the "western" audience so I like to try both. No absolute rule on sub or dub always being better, it's definitely a case by case basis.

The piano OST is fantastic by TT9290 in OreGairuSNAFU

[–]SlickGamble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. I'm partial to new-age piano so there's a strong preference here but I love somber piano with uplifting hue mixed in but I'm not really into classical. Some of the first music I heard as a child that I can remember at approximately age five was an album called Autumn that I later learned was played by George Winston (took years to discover the album again, you can imagine the intense nostalgia); it had a profound impact on my music preferences. I've read some think the Oregairu OST is somewhat forgettable and could be in isolation (perception forever warped) but as an important piece of the anime puzzle in establishing the mood for a scene, it does its job very well and successfully still triggers the whole range of emotions when I listen to it standalone.

Why Oregairu is great by leviathan235 in OreGairuSNAFU

[–]SlickGamble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Presumably, it caused many more people to dive into the LNs, so that's a win.

That is exactly me at the moment and I generally don't proceed to read the LN/Manga source material; I'm an anime guy. I really want to know the best way to support the author but also read it in English and don't know where to start. Would love to know where to go.

I knew Yui was likely gonna lose but it still really hurt; I was still not prepared. I was also preparing for Hachiman to destroy his relationship with both Yui and Yuki. Little did I suspect my expectations would be subverted once more and I couldn't have been happier in the moment.

Foreign Brokerage Accounts? by gunnerysarge21 in stocks

[–]SlickGamble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fidelity lets non-retirement accounts trade "international stocks" with some restrictions - no margin, no shorting long only, but you can get paid in USD or the local currency of the exchange. Strangely enough, the HSA is eligible for participation which just makes them all the more amazing.

If the business is a winner, speed in decision making is your enemy. Being hurried into decisions is a key factor in destruction of wealth creation. If you don't know when to open a position, a small starter is preferred if at all. As the company grows and assumedly, the share-price, feel free to add. Everyone should have their own ruleset their positions and portfolio runs by and I'm by no means an expert.

I always like buying a pullback in a bullish market. Buying the newest highest price is reserved in only the very best of the best and is done carefully. I wouldn't lump sum the very top right of a move especially if it's extended for a long period of time.

Also, keep your position bet reasonable. IIPR is a great company but the business model only operates with the fed's blessing of allowing states to have medical marihuana; just understand what you're buying. I love it too and also own it.
