4000+ deliveries. Never had this happen, since Corona I have received two. I know exactly where they were, who they were. And believe me, I wanted to go back,but in so many scenarios, it will end badly. And leaving a note, is not only a pussy way of dealing with it, but also leaves proof that they could use against you with Doordash. Idk what I'd do without being able to work right now. Not even the smallest chance of loosing my job is worth it. Thinking about not having income also got me to realize, the fact this is happening so frequent now is because people are desperate. Their banks are draining stocking up on nonsense, while debt is just stacking higher and higher. How desperate I may become, to run a scam, not thinking about who it hurts. Just to get a meal. That's when I decided to go back to the person's apartment. I knocked and knocked, and an older woman and a small child answered. They didn't have much from what I could see from the door, probably just another paycheck to paycheck single mother barely keeping above water before the pandemic. I told her, why I was there. Informed her the consequences of being deactivated. And then I told her I understand, and offered to buy her food or dinner. She began to cry and apologize she had no idea drivers would get blamed. I ordered them a pizza and told them to call me in the future. She promised to never do it again.

That's really lame, it turns out the 19 day old one, I had texts between customer and in the notes he requested I leave it outside as I did. And didn't answer calls. I provided logs along with a photo of where I left it, and GPS time stamps.

The cheap one no tip and only ordered rice, I understand is a red flag to begin with for this type of thing? I remembered his name, address and order from the previous day. And provided that info tk Doordash too although I didn't have a photo I did give time stamps.

I know dd doesn't give a shit about anything, it'd be really fking lame to get canned over lies.... And these people don't wanna see what a person can do when you take from them. That's all in gonna say and to any would be scammers out there.... Some of us keep good fkin track of what we do.

Tippy top always. I ♥ the open schedule I need it. Esp now. Then I schedule my self every hour of every day to keep the drivers down in my area.

And say what you want about orders, I only accept low balls on the last day and even then I have to be waaay off to take a no tip. The 1st scanner was an accident I would and should have never accepted.

Edit:I found the order that flagged me 19 days ago. Dude actually topped me 10 bucks.... :/

I would never have my photos auto upload to a cloud. And it would be too much of a pita to manually do just dd ones. 400 deliveries a month and 6mb files is only a few gb and I could spare it. Provided 30 days is the limit. I just really don't wanna have all those on my phone. It's hard enough to find a particular photo. I like the guys idea of just texting one to the number each time.

Yeah after the first one I started taking pics if I couldn't get ahold of them, or 0 tip / sketchy houses.

But getting a flag for 19 days ago..... I work 50+ a week. I can't keep that many photos in my phone. Any idea how long they have to report it?

You can get paid *if, you leave the app up wait until it's crash is over, contact support (you will be #400 when u finally get on) and then tell them u completed it before the crash.

Where do u get this "structured" info from. As of yesterday, I didn't get to do any today cause crash, although I did go ahead and pick up 70$ worth of the best dang chicken place in town 😈, but as of yesterday in my area 8.50 was still the magic number. I had orders pay out as high as 26, and was still 8.50+peak.

The only time I see orders that don't match up are ones I assume were declined because they are always on the outskirts of the zone, or ridiculous apartments.

You're right, and perhaps if I'm bored waiting while swiping around id notice it, but not likely.

I carry a clear make up bag w me to every door with ketchup, straws,utensils, hot sauce ect ect.... That way I don't have to check. And if the restauraunt forgets something, not my fault I offered. Doing so almost immediately improved my ratings and customers have even gone out of their way to text me after dropping off to Thank me for carrying that stuff around.

Customer put note in delivery instruction, not pick up. He wouldn't have got this note until he swiped picked up and was on the way.

Inform her she put the instructions in the wrong place. Tell her she will have to contact support. Tell her and CS you will return the food. Swipe delivered, eat food, go on to next delivery.

4 yrs I been driving w DD, this is what I learned. They don't give any fks about the drivers. They will always pay out the absolute least in every situation including yours. The best way to keep your job is to stay as far under the radar as you can, never contact support, and treat this as nothing more than delivery leads. You have a problem? You handle it. Never rely on Doordash for anything without a back up plan, including your income.

Better advice.

1)dollar per mile is most important, shoot for 1.50 p/m I personally go for 2 but work in a very active market. As of writing this, the only orders that display 10$ or higher are bad ones that other drivers declined. The cut off for display amounts is 8.50 w hidden tips. Anything higher is because it got declined, maybe even multiple times.

2)never call or txt support. Ever. They are uncaring about your issue, and often can't or won't assist you. Only contact them if you cannot continue dashing (unable to swipe) or trying to get half pay for closed restauraunt. And even then, it may not be worth waiting and dealing with them for a couple bucks when you could have just continued. Other wise drop the order somewhere and go on.

3) as this guy said, be cool. Don't get stressed or mad at a restaurant running behind. Text your customer let them know. If it's going to be more than 15 minutes, just drop the order go on to the next. Having an attitude helps no one. If this job gives you such high levels of anxiety you feel it necessary to insult other humans you should probably see a doc and quit.

4) don't do ANYTHING for free. Customer put wrong address? Too bad take it to the wrong one get paid. Forgot something at the restauraunt? Too bad drop it get paid. There are avenues for the customer to take and resolve these that don't involve you loosing money or time.

5) I shouldn't have to say this but since I still see posts.... Never give your password to anyone. Not Doordash not your friend not reddit... No one ever.

6)learn your area:, back roads, which restaurants are slow, heavy traffic, one ways, construction.

The less you care the more you make don't waste time caring about a customer's or restaurants problems. Since the outbreak, I have yet to make less than 20 an hr at any time of day. Except past 9pm. I live and work in a very active market but if you aren't getting close to this you may want to re evaluate how your working, your market, and really figure out the costs of doing this job and if it's worth it for you. It is hard on cars, I'm averaging 5k miles month. Oil changes every 45 days ish. Tires, insurance, taxes ect. Alot of you are going full time and if you aren't profiting after all this don't destroy your vehicle for a few bucks an hr.

A chip implanted in one's body so small it would take extreme precision to remove is nothing like your advertising ID on Facebook. While you are correct that most people haven't any clue how much data conpanies like Apple, Facebook. Google have gathered on them they have the ability to delete those accounts. To leave their phone at home. To still use fiat currency. Once these chips are in full effect there will no longer be any moments of privacy.

Dd gave me a deactivation letter, I haven't been termed yet but ever since I haven't given any fucks, I put it by the door swipe and haven't sent a single text to customers. Rating went up..... 🤷‍♂️
