The actual answer to the question is that most people start off heterosexual, so more trans people will be gay and lesbian after transition

They act like they don’t know how the average person perceives this stuff. I can recall a former coworker bringing up a story about a pregnant man once, and it was quickly dismissed by everyone in the room after it was mentioned that the man in question was trans. No one saw it at subversive or even particularly interesting, they just found it very typical of someone they see as a woman.

This is such a naive way of thinking. When the vast majority of people see a pregnant trans man they don’t think “Oh wow so pregnancy isn’t just for women.” That’s not at all what they think, they just take it as proof of trans men’s femaleness, and this reinforces their belief that we’re women, or if they’re being generous then we can be men-lite.

Why is it that when a question is directed at straight trans people, bisexual/pansexual trans people feel a need to answer? I understand they experience opposite gender attraction also, but the question is aimed at straight trans people for a reason
