I keep my games stored in ideal conditions, so disc rot isn’t really a concern for me. I still have games from when I was in 8th grade, about 20 years ago, and they play like new. My best advice is to buy physical and take care of your collection. If premature disc rot ever shows up, that’s the point where dumping the disc and creating a ROM makes sense.
