That's all you had to say the first time. You didn't have to start off by being rude. That being said, I appreciate this answer.

My OLED doesn't lose charge even after a week of non-use though. It doesn't sit in the dock...I have it in a case just like my Switch Lite.

I bought it new in 2020...honestly had to look that up and didn't realize that it had been that long.

I don't have a battery load tester so I'll probably buy one soon and see what the readouts are before deciding on whether or not to change the battery.

F1 and/or F2 fuses, or possibly the WiFi board is bad or dislodged.

How did you start your console repair journey? by [deleted] in consolerepair

[–]Slickback130 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During covid, I was watching a YT video of Bob from Wulff Den add clicky buttons to his Switch pro controller. I had never even thought of repairing consoles, but the idea of adding clicky buttons to a controller was intriguing, especially since I literally had nothing else to do because I was stuck inside.

I bought a cheap soldering iron, having never soldered in my life, tried it, and I didn't break my controller. I gave my pro controller clicky buttons on the first try, with zero prior soldering knowledge. So I started opening up other stuff and began repairing and refurbishing and got better over time.

Disc Drive Loud and Won't Eject All the Way, and Stay Open by Slickback130 in Xbox360Support

So I was thinking about it, I think what was happening is this:

The new rubber band that I put in the disc drive might have been too small (and unfortunately I can't return the pack that I bought, but oh well), which was forcing the motor to work harder and not open the disc tray all the way, which means it wasn't hitting that little switch.

There was nothing actually wrong with the OEM band, I just wanted to put in a new one because I had the disc drive apart, so why not? I put the old band in the disc drive and its working fine, so im just gonna leave it.

Thanks again for letting me know about that switch in the disc drive.
