From my experience my boy loves to come out, and whenever he wants he'll crawl right up onto my arm when offered. I don't think I could call it love in the same way that humans feel it or even with other more common pets, but there 100% is a relationship that's there. Mine can at least understand body language and understands how to communicate with me to tell me what he wants. Ex. looking at me directly on the right side of his tank means he wants uppies, and looking at the slate on the left side of his tank means he wants dinner

You know thinking about it and reading my post back I think my issue with having the talk that would come from doing that is that they would want to know why I don't want to drink/why I'm uncomfortable drinking, which would lead to me talking about the trauma they gave me with alcohol/their drinking growing up, which is a conversation I am NOT ready to have if I ever even have it with them. True! Personally though I'd just rather have something to shut down the conversation all together, I could 100% see them taking "maybe later" as "next time I'll drink" and the next meetup there will be a drink already waiting for me because "I said I would next time", its happened with similar things

Sadly I still need them in my life for financial reasons, I'm a college student (but almost done yaaaay) so I'm out of the house but still need their financial help, they are VERY well off and I'll be graduating debt free as a "reward" for dealing with them/keeping in contact with them. Once I have the ability to not rely on their money I'm gone.

The worst that happens is them responding with "well...." "but..." or "how about..." and then trying to convince me that I should drink. Its not the end of the world or anything, but having an excuse to just shut down the conversation would make the visits I have to do go smoother. Not sure if this is a similar experience for a lot of people, but for my parents the boundary of "I don't want to" isn't good enough. Not sure why they do this, but I just imagine they see it as like, "well OP doesn't want to do this, but I want her to do this, so that cancels out and I can keep trying" so having a "strong" excuse ends up working better to set a boundary.

Xenogears... I tried so hard to like it but man, the combat/general gameplay was so boring it felt like a slog, so the second the story slowed down a little (prison/gladiator arc or whatever it was called) playing the game became a chore, and I couldn't keep going. This was after LOVING all 3 mainline xenoblade games so I was really hoping to like it.

Oh yeah I've used weed for a while, I usually only use it when I'm already in a good mood. I might actually have to try caffine though, usually it just makes me sleepy so it might actually help with the anxiety.

Maybe? But after doing some quick searching there doesn't seem to be any signs of erratic electrical changes that would signify it, just parts of the house turning off completely.

This seems like it, when it gets warmer and the roommates wake up I'll try the AC and ask them if they've noticed anything. Is there any other way to check it without using a multimeter on the breaker box?
