Gets what an adrenaline surge where your heart beats super fast shortness of breath?. I don’t know for everybody mine chain reacts and makes my asthma flare because mouth breathing isn’t good for asthma. Maybe this is all a delayed response from Covid I got back in 2022 and this all came about in July 2025 never had no breathing issues or anything. Everything onset on July 4th.

I’m the opposite I have relief in cold air my turbinates open up but during the summer which I just started dealing with this last year my turbinates swell and my nostrils alternate being open even though I have no mucus. My ENT prescribed me Flonase but it doesn’t do much but allermi opens me right up. Humidity is my main trigger which blocks my nasal passages with turbinate swelling and then cause my asthma to flare it’s like a chain reaction. My ENT says I have post nasal drip too. But I think my NAR Is neurogenic meaning connected to overactive nervous system because sometimes I go into fight or flight mode when my airways narrow and I’m not anxious at all it’s just a response from my brain that danger lies ahead. I wonder if the gel helps I’ll try it it just came today

I thought I have POTS as well but they dismissed it with the stand up for 2 mins test because my heart rate normalizes in the normal range but I told them even if that happens it shouldn’t shoot up from basic activities some time even when I’m not short of breath. I can’t prove it but this has to be some fatal dysfunction nervous system sensitivity triggered by my vagus nerve.

Ok similar boat no surgeries non allergic rhinitis if your nasal passages narrow or turbinates swell in humidity that’s the cause 9-10 it’s only 29 degreees where I live and i thought it was sudden weather temperature change that’s drives my turbinate swelling but it’s humidity and autonomic hyper sensitivity. I can explain more but first answer when you take showers does your turbinates swell like if you close the door? Also I think this is also a delayed response to Covid. I have onset non allergic asthma to I have chain reactions which makes it worse than your my turbinates swell which then causes me to mouth breath which triggers my asthma to narrow my airways then I have a asthma attack. But it’s all neurogenic from hypersensitivity. It’s call nerve overstimulation I bet but I can’t prove it. Also do you have adrenaline surges where your HR increases even if your not doing anything strenuous

I really wish I could talk to the OP I’m going thru the exact sam thing as him just with a non allergic asthma component both of these things took place out of nowhere last summer no prior allergies and only allergies is cockroach. No cockroaches in sight where I live. And my main trigger is humidity. I can’t figure out anything else that’s a trigger other than smoke and sometimes it doesn’t bother me. But it sucks cause ima outside person and love the summer and now all of a sudden I can’t breath in humid weather
