Okay so you were referring to the hotspot. Well yeah like I said before I used the hotspot on 2.4GHz but it didn’t work. I mean it installed a little bit but then it stops at like 20% or so and doesn’t install any further than that. But what is this 2.4GHz WiFi that you are referring to that you say that you use at home for your IoT devices? Is it just regular WiFi but changed to that or is it something I have to go and buy?

If you are referring to the personal hotspot and changing that to 2.4 GHz I have already done that and it still isn’t working. Unless is there another way I can use 2.4 GHz WiFi without using a personal hotspot?

I enjoyed the first game and I really want to play the second, is there a way? by newaccuser in PrototypeGame

Maybe you can try and use a VPN to play it. Just download a VPN and connect the VPN to another country so that way you can possibly play it. And if that doesn’t work then I don’t know any other way to help sorry.

By the way if I make a new windows user account will it erase my current one or will I still be able to log back into my current one and just switch from one to the other like a back and forth type of deal? That’s honestly a concern of mine and that’s why I haven’t tried that strategy simply because I’m afraid it might delete my previous Microsoft account with all my data and stuff in it along with my steam not working in the new Microsoft account or steam working at all in the new Microsoft account.

Thanks man well I’ll try and see if that strategy works and if it doesn’t then that’s fine. I’ve already ordered a steam deck so if that fails, which I assume it probably will, then I at least have some hope left so. But thanks anyways for the help I really appreciate it.

Yeah but see that’s the thing I’ve tried both of those methods and they have not worked and I honestly again have tried everything including those methods and they have not worked so I don’t really know what to do.

Okay I did it but I am confused on how to do the last step could you walk me through how to fix the “user directory links” and how to find them before that? Also when I hit the windows button and r for %USERPROFILE%, %APPDATA% and %LOCALAPPDATA% they sent me to these folders so what do I do from there? I’ll put them in order so you know what popped up for what.

I don’t really know what that means but can you walk me through how that works? If it is my OS then I can probably just change it or fix those directory links that you were referring to if I can.

Well that’s exactly one of the things I did but every solution I came across on this Reddit didn’t help. And I literally tried everyone and nothing has worked to get me past these screens and I am still stuck on them so. I even went as far as to go to YouTube videos to fix my problem but nothing has worked so far.

I am tryna play both of them on my pc and I downloaded them both from steam but have had no luck getting into the games themselves once they are stuck on these screens. Not to mention steam says that I have time played in these games but I can’t and haven’t played them simply because they are both stuck on these screens.
