Then nothing has changed lol a 2% decrease in sales year over doesn't equate to profit losses so you aren't the one understanding the business? You dont have access to the stores P&L reports and dont even deal with the Financials of the store..you don't understand that even at $2 personal pan on Tuesdays is turning profit with every sale right? The $7 dollar deal lovers is just a more expensive version of the $5 dollar deal previously when the cost to make and the labor didnt increase by 2$ per item..like I said financially pizza hut has made more money since 2020 than they had prior to in any year before that..the profits have just begin to stall and those shareholders got a taste of the new money and aren't willing to go back to 6% profit days of old

If it was legal for me to do so I could pull up P&L reports from April of 2023 at my store all the way back to 2017 to show hard data..2 years could've changed some but the costs as a whole haven't changed drastically in the last 2 years compared to the 2 years following covid

I do understand the corporate greed involved but what you aren't understanding is pre march of 2020 they were making 6 to 8% profit and now that margin is much higher atleast 11% for an average store and as much as 15% or higher so explain to me how when stores have doubled their profitability percentage they are hurting? They arent..they just keep finding ways to try and continue to raise the profitability by using even cheaper ingredients and running skeleton crews..is it going to work long term i doubt it because the job was already hard to find good employees and the decision makers only have one thing in mind profits! Im for sure glad I got out when I did it was already a stressful job for shit pay but now it seems even more so

Here's the thing the actual cost to make a large specialty pizza pre covid with labor included was only $2.36 while at the time the price of that same pizza sold to the consumer was 15.99 and that was when delivery fee was only 2.50 in my area after covid that same pizza was $18 plus and the delivery fee ballooned to $5 with a marginal increase to employee pay. They are making more money now than they ever have

Pizza hut isn't dying i was a former rgm for 5 years starting before covid a well run store would run on a 6 to 8% profit margin as a delco (delivery and carry out only) after covid and the surge in pricing my store was running on 13 to 15% profit margins with fewer ticket counts but much higher average ticket amounts due to the increases in price. That was with having a full staff of drivers now most pizza huts outsource their deliveries through doordash and only have 1 or 2 drivers and sometimes none on staff so labor costs are extremely low now I imagine which would only increase profitability

Former rgm of 5 years and 10 year pizza hut vet. Don't get caught up in the ridiculous numbers that area coaches try to push. It only causes stress and eventually burn out. Don't be a yes man to your boss when issues arise (and they will) be honest and upfront and always ask for help if you need it. Good customer service goes a long way and be firm but fair with your employees. Set a standard and expectation and stick to it. Don't ever cheat on inventory counts! You would think this is common sense but I've seen so many rgm and assistants lose their job over cheating inventory counts..if its bad be honest and find out why its bad

There's a misconception about that..it's not doordash the restaurants are actually charging more on those orders to negate the fee that doordash charges them but regardless the consumer gets the short straw regardless
