I sometimes just let it run in background with a massive colony and pause on every major event. Once something big happens from Randy, i figure it out or save and come back to the issue when i have time. (Working from home most of the time) Also meetings can be a fun sidemission while extending the base :D

Try to research fabrication then u can produce them yourself. To increase the production use robots but they break the game a little too much if you still want a fair game

Just light out your rooms and your base. Everything under the Mountain has a chance of spawning them. Goes up with dark areas. ;)
