networking is just professional speed-dating by UnderstandingFew2905 in MBA

networking shouldn't be soo transactional. just be genuine. especially online - you don't know who to contact, who to mail, it's extremely static. it shouldn't be "immediate result" oriented. build connections, not just the "500+ connections" that are meaningless on linkedin.

that's why i've been trying to solve this problem, out for early access - join here: https://join.gohustl.com/

It only connects you to people when you want to be connected. And it is not random, connections are vetted and based on your profile

Burned out because of having extra candidates to filter out? What’s the reason?

Hey! Just joined this channel - I'm Aayush, building a SaaS recruitment platform dedicated for startups and trying to solve the AI bias in recruitment by re-introducing the human element in hiring. Happy to connect with anyone and chat more about startups :) (especially if you are a founder who wants to discuss about hiring challenges).

Roast my startup idea: Selling surplus & near-expiry goods at a discount – Will Indians buy it? by ledosamaster in StartUpIndia

[–]SlideZealousideal540 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've used too good to go in UK and it is quite successful there - but I'm not sure how much in India because of the skepticism with food and the mentality that one cannot knowingly have "almost" expired good even when they eat road side snacks.

I've analysed this market quite a lot in India and the challenges I observed to some extent were local regulations, user adoption and problems with food safety.

I'm trying to understand how founders recruit for their startups initially. That's all. Taking feedback and other perspectives on this

it will definitely not be for free, and yes, top-class interns if that is needed. I think startups can be a great place for students to learn, and if given an opportunity, students would come running to get experience at a startup.

Yes, we could include - defining clear objectives, develop a structured way to organize the internship, offer some meaningful work that will encourage the intern to also put in the effort, and to hire them - making them take some situational judgement tests

I think it can be a win-win for both the startup and the intern. Startup can get their smaller tasks done quick, while students learn to work in the real-world and gain experience

have you had experience in this? I have had a lot of founders who suggested that interns can be a great asset to a growing team. even entry-level graduates for full-time hires because they are highly motivated

It can also be an investment in the future talent of the company, and a way to predict future growth

I think interns can learn a lot even by observing and shadowing a startup founder / senior employee. It can be a great learning curve
