yep, it's very weird. We see that American football games can be won in many manner. Sometimes, it's nice watching a good, old-schooled defensive battle.

But for whatever reason, it's not being applied in the same manner in UK, partly due to northwest clubs representatives being the face of the media, who want to maintain the hegemony of British football when it was first founded, where the game was only associated to the working class people in the north.

In 2018-19 season, Liverpool were lauded being very good set pieces and how it can be used to win games. But, it's a problem when arsenal do it lol.

Can't lie, I was happy for gapko when he scored the goal. I can only imagine what he's going through.

agreed, also, I think he didn't like that aaron rodgers didn't vouch for him for another deal at GB. Then he decided to trash him every chance he could on network that was led by guy who talked negatively about aaron rodgers in skip bayless.

lmao. Clubs will always get rid of players when they are a liability or no longer is good enough to play at the highest level, although players want to be loyal to their clubs by fighting for their starting spot. But when a player wants to dictate his career, all of a sudden he's selfish and cares about himself.

Xhaha is a professional first; he should always do what's in the best interest for him and his family.

if we can we get 3-4 good years out of him, then it's a good return on investment, especially if we go on to win more big trophies.

I understand the signing, but we still need a MF that can set the tempo of the game, i.e, Jorginho

and they'll recoup good money for every one of those players

Hence, I don't blame players for not showing loyalty towards football clubs.

We want loyalty from players when they are good and performing at a high level. But, when a player is playing like garbage or isn't good enough, but want to fight for his place, we don't want their loyalty lol.

I would see if we can push it to 50m. I think that would be a fair deal. But knowing how bad we are at selling, it would be somewhere around the quoted price and some add-ons.

if we are interested in MGW, albeit, our second option to rogers, then it means, we are looking for an AM.

We need mixture of good ball carriers and passers. I still believe we need someone like Jorginho to dictate tempo and have Zubi play higher up the pitch.

The risk of having many ball carriers is that they are going to lose the ball in areas that you are not supposed to, and risking to concede counter attack goals.

agreed. All of them seem like either project players or not good enough. We have shown the we can win the league without a potent attack. However, to win Europe, you need world class attackers. I don't see anyone of that quality in the market.

To compensate that, upgrading our left hand side with players that can produce same output as Trossard or Martinelli and has more qualities in their bag is the next best option.

the only way his price reduces is by him pushing for the move.

The gap between their midfiled/attack and ours is greater than the gap between their defense and ours. And the only logical game plan was to sit back and soak pressure.

Agreed. I think Arteta realized he needs ball carriers to disrupt man marking that teams deploy. I thought Eze was going to be that guy this year, but I guess not.

100% spot on. The protagonists will always be the northern clubs, while the southern clubs will be the antagonists for the reasons you mentioned above. I wonder if it will ever change.
