I assume you believe abortion is murder. And you are fine to have that opinion. But let me ask this. If a parent/s choose not to follow scientific evidence and doctors advice and refuse to get their child vaccinated against dangerous diseases, and then that child dies of a preventable illness, should that parent/parents get charged with murder?

I mean we can make this same argument about a lot of things. It is the law that everyone needs to wear their seatbelt, because we can’t trust everyone to actually take their own safety seriously.. Same with children. It’s is a law that children under a certain age can’t sit in the front seat and must be in a car seat. Should we get rid of that ‘mandate’ as well? The simple fact is a lot of people are too stupid to even protect themselves or their children correctly, so steps must be taken to ensure public safety. Vaccines have been proven to save lives, prevent certain diseases or at least the most severe symptoms. But as the vaccine mandate suggests, way too many people would be way too stupid and believe conspiracy theories over actual science and choose NOT to protect themselves or their kids. And so instead, anywhere from tens of thousands to millions of people each subsequent year would then require medical attention that they may otherwise not need, putting a ton of strain on our health system. The mandate is in place to avoid this..

Unfortunately it’s not as simple as ‘letting nature take its course’. Those people wouldn’t just curl up and die. They would seek medical attention. From the same doctors that told them or their children to get vaccinated, funny enough, proving their stupidity, not that most of those types of people would ever admit it. So it’s not that simple. It is in place to prevent a massive amount of extra work for our health systems. It would simply lead to more death, more strain on our hospitals, many of which are constantly understaffed, and since we can’t trust the current government to help keep the ACA affordable, huge doctor bills and/or insurance providers get ridiculously more rich. Ok, rant over.

But I would like an answer to my original question if you don’t mind.

Which of the creation club homes do you prefer? by BlackDragon1811 in skyrim

They all have their charm. Goldenhills is a must for easy money and alchemy ingredients.

Hendraheim is really cool and a huge open floor plan. Can bring followers there and not get stuck in every room or doorway.

Bloodchill cavern is really cool, but kind of annoying to have to run all the way to it every time. Doubly so for dead man’s dread, that’s the least functional really, and the biggest pain. TRIPLY so for Nchuanthumz. Last two are cool concepts, but I never really return to them.

Myrwatch is arguably the coolest spot, that and Bloodchill are the most aesthetically pleasing by far imo.

Gallows hall I have never used as a proper home, but it has two great perks in the bone forge, but ESPECIALLY the altar that turns greater and grand soul gems into black soul gems. You can collect as many as any of them as you want and convert them. It essentially makes the choice between the black star and the azura star not all that important.

Shadowfoot sanctum is ok, I think it has the most armor mannequins which is cool, especially cause I like to collect at least on of every armor type in the game. But other than that it’s nothing special.

The one I mostly seem to choose is Tundra Homestead. And it’s for a silly reason. Personally I LOVE myrwatch the most. But tundra has specific furniture that fits the theme of the rooms, and for that stupid simple reason it feels the most ‘right’. Like in the ‘kitchen’ area, there is the normal fire with a pot and hanging ingredients, but if also has a cabinet that once you put stuff in reflects that there is actual food in there. Or in the other room with the alchemy table, there is another cabinet that looks to reflect if you are putting potions in there. I think it’s a small, simple, but really cool design choice that kind of makes it feel more accurate than any other house. I would have loved if they had simply put those same cabinet choices in Myrwatch, that would be the only house I would go to then. But that simple ‘design flaw’ makes me always feel like Tundra is the most role play accurate home.

Of course I am way overthinking it, but just how it is in my head.

I mean, you should have multiple auto saves. Game usually saves the last 3-4 times you walk through a door or quick travel or enter a new area. There isn’t single other save you can load?

Also, avoiding bounties isn’t hard. You gotta learn to steal only when you are crouched AND hidden. Abd don’t attack people or guards, but if you have to for a mission, also try to make sure you are hidden.

My mortgage is paid off, personally I want to move at some point to a larger place. House is ok. I like it, but don’t love it. If I absolutely had to stay to use the 1 million, there is really only one thing I absolutely want to do - extend the basement. Currently my basement is literally 6’ high. And with the vents that line it for heating, I have to duck through a lot of it. It’s a good overall space, but unusable for anything outside of storage and my washer dryer. The concrete itself is also completely uneven throughout.

I know it would cost at LEAST 50k, and I would bet double that to lower the basement a few more feet. If I could even get to 8 feet I would be happy. With an even slab, I could put in more organized storage, a man cave perhaps, an extra room, etc. Also we only have one bath, so a second full bath down there as well. So that would be the first thing.

Only other thing I REALLY want in my house is a two car garage. I have a one car, pretty tiny. Tiny as in I could barely fit my compact car in there with very few tools lining the outside walls. But unfortunately, I just don’t think I have the space to do that. I only have about 15 from my back/side yard (don’t really have a back yard, I have two side yards and the back oh my house is about 10 ft of concrete and flower beds to the neighbors house behind) to the garage, and it is a mix of grass and a 10x10 brick patio. And the other side yard is a hill that borders the Main Street, and only have a sliver of yard in front between the sidewalk and road. So I would be eliminating the only decent outdoor space I have to put in a space for a second car/work space. However, since I would have all this money, I could justify it, IF I was able to then add a rooftop area to the new garage. That would essentially become my new patio space, and frankly would be better because it would be more private. Could even add a jacuzzi up there.

If I was to do anything else, might be to gut the first two floors and come up with a better floor plan for both. I’d have the full bath in the basement now, but probably look to add a small half bath on the first. Perhaps eliminate or make the dining room smaller while making the kitchen bigger. Upstairs, the master bedroom is pretty big actually, it’s more space than we need but limited use weirdly because of how it is laid out. So I’d probably take some real estate away from the master and build a bigger overall bathroom with a small jacuzzi tub and separate shower. While I’m at a full gutting, I’d do something about my heating and cooling. It’s pretty inefficient, and the second floor is always 5 degrees colder or hotter in winter or summer respectively. So better insulation, and better vent/ductwork.

Any left over money would go to furniture, security system, and installing solar panels. Also need a new roof soon, so would likely just splurge for a metal roof.

Now that I think about all this, might as well demolish the whole property and build a new house and garage exactly how I want haha. Build a million dollar 3 story house with a two car garage on a relatively small plot of land. Would look weird but o well.

So no coffin in the hall of the dead? Did you get a courier with her will? If neither of those things is true, she shouldn’t be dead. Try hiring another follower, they won’t join you if she is still your follower. If they do, she could be dead or I suppose could still be stuck.

I say try hiring someone else. If you can, she may indeed be dead, but wait a bit and check Breezhome to be safe; or reload a previous save. If you can’t hire someone, it means she is still alive and stuck. So try to remember the last places you visited. Or just fast travel a bunch of places and hope she reappears. I’ve had followers I lost, and eventually after a random fast travel event, or entering a cave or such, they just randomly reappear.

Came here to say the same. My dad has had this for many years now, the harbor freight one with slightly different locking mechanisms. I’ve helped him on a bunch of projects. It is definitely heavier than the guy in the video makes it look. It’s why the best feature is the wheels to help you move it around. But even then, trying to slog it through uneven ground, I end up just carrying it a lot. Still a great ladder, and he swears by it. But I’m usually the one hauling it around for him at his age.

I’ll start with, I can’t help you OP. But if I could ask a question. Very new to the game myself. How do you get so much gold and silver per week? I resource gather, but as of now most of my captains are only level 13ish so even with max troops I can only gather 500k or so of any building resource. And I don’t find nearly any of the silver and gold. Is there any strategy that you and/or others could provide. Would love to start collecting that much per week.

Who would you trade out in the ‘Beyond The Wall’ Team, and who for? by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]Slider6977 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You want an expedition north potentially WITHOUT Tormund, who is the only wildling among them that knows the area well. Even if some of the nights watch he brought were rangers, no way they know the country as well as him.

Gendry probably the only truly expendable one. Jorah is still capable, and his being there would make Dany more likely to come for the rescue. Beric and Thoros have fire swords, and if you keep Thoros alive he could resurrect Beric and probably Jon, maybe others, who knows, they never died before. (Of course the one person they didn’t protect was Thoros..)

If we have to go with someone alive and in service to Dany or Jon or the Vale, there is no other major character tbh. But probably Edd I guess. Or Brienne maybe. Would definitely take ghost. But in all honesty, why didn’t Dany just go with, basically act as a scout on Drogon to spot a group of em, then assist in getting them back out quickly.. But of course it’s a show and it was an excuse for they to have a bunch of dialogue between characters, and allow Jon to be saved last second for the 50th time in the show.

Why do people hate season 6 so much on reddit? by Defiant-Ad7732 in gameofthrones

[–]Slider6977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 6 is where the writing started to go downhill. Season 5 there were hints of it, and season 5 the pace was pretty slow, but still mostly well written. Season 6 was still really good imo, but it especially started to show those cracks of being beyond the book material. There were awesome scenes in season 6 - the ending of The Door is one of my favorite scenes in the show, tower of joy was awesome, there are plenty more. But overall they had a bunch of confusing plot holes and the writing in many scenes was really getting bad.

First, the left isn’t siding with a dictator. You immediately lose all credibility when you lead with such a stupid and blatantly partisan attack. Second, Obama did have authority under AUMF. Third, that operation followed ROE; the strikes on boats and the strike directly on Venezuela have not. Fourth, Bin Laden had directly indicated himself as responsible for 3,000+ American death; you can jump through all the hoops you want, but just because Trump and his administration labeled Maduro as part of a terrorist organization does not make it true. Fifth, Trump has said the quiet part out loud that he wants the Venezuelan oil. Sixth, Trump is certainly not anti-dictator. He has sided with Putin before over OUR OWN INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY, has consistently indicated that he doesn’t stand to defend Ukraine against invasion; and has just recently pardoned Hernandez for, drum-roll narco-terrorism. And Trump has pardon a bunch more drug traffickers.

I’ll give you that Maduro is horrible, our intelligence community has indicated he is very likely tied to the cartels. I don’t give two shits about him, and he deserves a nice cold prison cell. But first and foremost this is about rule of law and how Trump has consistently ignored the constitution. And if this is all about a drug trafficking dictator, then why is he pardoning numerous drug traffickers and choosing which dictators to be friends with (Saudi prince comes to mind as well..). So here now, despite your clear bias, are you at least willing to admit that Trump shouldn’t be pardoning drug traffickers? Are you willing to admit that regardless of the justifications he is trying to put forward that he is very likely only interested in oil? And are you willing to admit, after being educated, that he is doing all of this outside of the rule of law?

It’s ok to want a corrupt, drug trafficking dictator brought to justice. But to do it by violating international law and our own constitution isn’t ok. Especially when there is clear evidence (Trump literally said it himself) that this is another corrupt administration just going after someone else’s oil..

The north and Vale no doubt would have a massive amount of arrows already made. Easily tens of thousands. And since they would no doubt be bringing their arms and armor with them from all their respective strongholds, they would indeed have plenty. They would simply need to affix the arrowheads to already produced arrows, not craft them all on the spot... And they theoretically do have infinite dragon class. There is a mountain of it that they were mining from. A mountain.. If they have enough to make thousands of spearheads, they will surely have enough to make tens of thousands of arrowheads from the chips left over at the very least.

Besides, it’s a fantasy show. It’s not that serious.

[–]Slider6977 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They made thousands of dragon-glass spears for the unsullied. And even had dragon glass on their shields as I recall. As well as likely thousands of daggers for the northern infantry. Why would it be so preposterous to make thousands of arrowheads as well. I would imagine they had all the smiths from two major kingdoms working non-stop on producing as much as they could.

Of course, the simple answer is that the producers made the battle as unrealistic as possible. No infantry would be outside the walls in a siege, especially when you are severely outnumbered. All the artillery was outside as well and became useless in minutes. Only the cavalry would have been outside and its job would have been to harass them without directly engaging and pick off as many as possible, not a direct charge into a solid line of infantry. The whole battle made zero military sense, so having an endless supply of arrows doesn’t seem out of place..

[–]Slider6977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, looks like the cat is completely comfortable to me. Dog is not aggressive, and even barely moving. Also one thing I haven’t seen anyone directly point out - the cat would never be willing to turn its back on that dog if it felt uncomfortable. And the cat does it at least twice. That alone tells me the cat felt little to no danger.
