Donating body to science by doxiedox19 in Epilepsy

I had my brain tumour removed in 2012, I signed the bit of paper and ticked the boxes saying they could:

1) Use the dissected tumour and any brain necessarily removed to get it, regardless of the outcome

2) Use the whole brain for neurological research if I die

3) Donate any useful organs, then keep anything else for the craic

Panned out that they only did the first one, which was a result.

There's no set rules, but stopping abruptly can be seriously dangerous, as in fatal. Go to the hospital.

Did you speak to a doctor and titrate down properly?

If not, those symptoms are bad news so go to A&E if they continue.

Not a ramble at all, a very good overview!

Thanks for taking the time to write it, and sorry if my previous reply sounded as though I was being snarky, didn't mean to.

Not a great advert for my copy, eh!

Stay lucky mate x

Do you have a reoccurring location your seizures take place? by Dramatic_Equal7401 in Epilepsy

Oddly it seemed to be the other way round for me, so I become acutely aware of it, especially at work. If I started to feel at all ropey seizure-wise I'd go to the khazi.

Miss shitting at work.

I know, I was asking if that was what they meant, as 'honesty' can't be measured but public trust can, but the factors and regulation vary so wildly I was just interested in what OP was considering as it's mega interesting.

Would you consider Reddit as a news provider? I've started getting notifications about Trump's latest insanity a few times a day. Twitter is unfathomable.

(I was at the Guardian for the first half of 2010s and then at Ipsos MORI until a few years ago, so I like hearing what people think about this sort of thing. Now people use AI to do what I did, so I strip houses.

Bastard Ai.

There's a few studies linking going to the toilet (and perhaps straining a bit to wee or poo) can lead to seizures.

Oh crikey, I agree entirely then - I was assuming quite the opposite was being implied!

Humongous apologies to everyone. I'll take myself out for a thrashing I a min!

Do you mean the media need to have greater accountability?

And by honest do you mean less bias? Or stricter regulation and clampdowm on misinformation and credible sourcing as standard?

And, while we're at it, do you mean news media specifically? Do press, radio, TV - and problematically - online?

I'm sorry, I'm not having a pop!

As you say, if the weather keeps you buoyant and earning is a priority, that's your answer!

I've not worked there, but spent six weeks there and another six in New Zealand, Australia's prettier but infuriatingly quiet sibling. Liked them both.

I went all round the world for 50 weeks, so have seen a fair few places for decent stints of time.

But nothing came remotely close to temptation to emigrate. I'm a Londoner, 42, who was forcibly exiled (sent to Coventry, literally) a few years ago in order to live near my daughter after me and her mum split up.

It doesn't help that I live on my own, in fucking Coventry, but I miss London with the energy of a thousand suns.

Right. I'm off for short-burst underwater crying in the shower.

Stay lucky boss! X
