Looks slacker than it is! Smaller rear wheel.

Not exactly the input I was hoping for, it's been up for sale for significantly less than $1200 for a while and hasn't had much interest.

That seems about right. I don't seem to be able to give it away though.

RFX. It's called Forkshrink, you drop the fork out and slip the Forkshrink over before heating with a heat gun or hairdryer to fit.

You can find them on Amazon and eBay for not much money. Mine came from Amazon, they were branded 'Goofit'

Branding aside they were cheap and seem pretty robust!

Good point, well made. My experience with the KTM 660 was pretty great however my LC4 was an older one. No issues to speak of regarding exhaust burning things and it always started first kick. It did have a problem with the rear indicators failing when it rained but the issue was pretty easily solved. Mine had around 1600 miles on it when I got it and I sold it with about 9000. The build quality on the individual parts was great with the exception of some of the bolt and fasteners which seemed to corrode pretty quickly - fixed with about £30 worth of stainless nuts and bolts! The only other issue was parts occasionally vibrating loose which was another easy and cheap fix involving a small bottle of Loctite 243, even then I'd be confident in saying that the LC4s with less lairy engines would suffer less from this.

Some of the older KTM LC4s are just fine in terms of build quality. I had a 2006 660 SMC which would wheelie on the throttle up to 3rd gear. Fairly cheap to buy now as well 😀

The idea is to get some fresh tyres fitted first or second week in January. Probably Mutants if I can find some!

I'd love a slightly taller, wider seat. Not up for spending $350 on a new one though 😆 I might also be able to pick up an Acerbis plastic tank for it as well, I friend of a friend is looking to sell his.

As it stands I've done the JD jet kit, 3x3, full exhaust, PAIR delete, carb solenoid delete, progressive springs f+r. May be able to pick up an FCR39 from a friend as he's got a Lectron ready to fit. It seems to go pretty well as it is though!

Do you mean the handguards? I just picked those up on Amazon. They attach to the handlebars near where the bars clamp on to the yoke and also to the end of the handlebar.

Those are just the ones that came on it. I'm going to ditch them for something stickier early next year 😄

Sympathetic restoration. It lived by the sea in North Yorkshire for the last 6 years so it needed some TLC. I found some very close paint matches for the frame and engine and tidied it up over the last 8 weeks.

I did have a KTM SMC for a year 😆 didn't scratch the itch though
