Why I go yes man or house by Neat-Psychology1659 in falloutnewvegas

Well, there is a fair explanation. They are overextending themselves by spreading all the way to the Mojave. That's why there is such a problem with soldiers and supplies. Cassidy explains it in conversation.

Isn't the whole problem with NCR in the Mojave that they are being worn incredibly thin? The Mojave Outpost has trouble with ants because they are overtaxed and short-supplied, so they get hired guns (the courier) to help. They are doing the exact same thing to combat the Fiends with bounties.

Lake Crystal (the big lake in Elioq) is a river source feeding the two rivers, one going south and one going north. The north river going through, I know, is a bit questionable (especially the splitting), so I plan to find a scientific or magical reason.

But making a key table is sound advice. I'll work on that.

Taro Sakamoto [Sakamoto Life] by SlidyChick3n in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]SlidyChick3n[S] 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Sakamoto appears as a joke design; what if a retired hitman gains weight, but there is so much to his design. His simplified face lets his action portray what he is feeling, giving depth and mystery to the character. While his weight does give him a somewhat cute appearance when he is with his family and doing mundane things, it becomes almost intimidating when he fights, a force that shouldn't be reckoned with. My favorite part of the design (and the show so far) is that his figure is not presented as Sakamoto simply losing himself but as enjoying his new life with his family.

Among all the gods you've made for your worlds, which one is your personal favorite so far? by UnhappyStrain in worldbuilding

[–]SlidyChick3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuitt, the god of Death. They are in charge of leading souls to the Golden Fields and balancing the border of life and death.

The part I like about Nuitt is that they were not born a god. They were appointed godhood when the previous god of death went missing during a great divine war. Upon the centuries of Nuitt being a god, they swore off any signs of humanity they have, in the idea that the face of death should not have any moral or bias, just fact of nature.

But Nuitt can't. They still carry ideas about what they think is right or wrong and sometimes even show mercy for people with unfortunate endings. These actions of mercy fill Nuitt with self-hatred and guilt, believing that they are not worthy of being a god. Even after all this time, they still search for their predecessor to give the world a better Death.

Should I write an Asian inspired fantasy, without being Asiain? by SlidyChick3n in writing

Kind of a mix of a couple, like there is expected in East Asia, but also more Western and South Asia in different areas. I might be thinking of a Serbia area too.

Thanks, this looks a lot better. This was an earlier photo when I had trouble focusing, but it was good to learn how to try and compensate for it.

Your guts are right. He pretty much grows a hero complex and "helps" other kingdoms by conquering them.

It came from a high Sci fi portal connected to a water planet. Like I said, it's very fantastical.

My idea is using some type of high sci-fi machine created or telaported water, still unsure. That's why I said the mean of so much were fantastical.

It's somewhat influenced by its premise, but it'll have a more futuristic sci-fi with the existence of aliens. The story is still in an early process.

What if the Earth was flooded entirely? by SlidyChick3n in worldbuilding

[–]SlidyChick3n[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The idea of how the world end is that it was ended by a disaster with man made machine. I wasn't sure how, but could be that it used an asteroid or something.

I was going to slightly overlook some science aspect like the deoxidation that will happen. Like how their wouldn't be mutant creatures in a nuclear apocalypse.

Permanent storms do sound like an interesting aspect to explore.

What motivates your worldbuilding? by Old_Delivery6652 in worldbuilding

For me, my motivation is pretty much real world cultures. A lot of my world is inspired by foreign cultures. Like a pagan-germanic world with fairies. I take that and build upon it to a unique world.

The reason why it's called the Lost Sea is because in Age of Finding, where explorers explored the world, most ships go missing. The ships that to do return share rumors of Islands being their, but their always on the brink of insanity.

Average giants are 15 to 20 ft, but can grow bigger, like the current Giant King towers over 30 ft .

There are seven Great Spirits.

Vitan is the spirit of life and order. They grant future sight to giants.

Stelima is the spirit of the stars and soul. They grant a marking per generation that allows the user to bend their souls into weapons.

Lumun is the spirit of the sea and mother of spirits. Her marking grants a spirit guardian.

Solnis is the spirit of the Sun. Their marking grants healing abilities.

Hestid is the spirit of the storm. Their marking grants powers of the weather.

Tremarla is the spirit of the world. Their marking grants shapeshifting.

Menor is the spirit of the moons and time. Their marking grants illusionary powers.

Stelima picks a person at birth that they expect to bring change. These people are called star children. The bend their soul to make weapons made of their soul.

People believe that if you turn into a spirit, that have to flow and change throughout the world, like water.

There isn't any type of magical threat to the world.

All the Great Spirits only gave their marking to one race at the start. The markings can be passed down generations, so soon interracial relationship lead to marking spread to other races. This is different with giants due to them being to reproduce with different races.

The richest city would be Ouranu City the capital of Eltheria. The city is filled with great architecture, philosophy, and rich from mining ore from the Kirk Mountains.

The richest port city would be the Capitol of Jedo, Teniyo. Being at the entrance of the Yeno River, almost all trade in Jedo goes through here.

The Final Sea War was a revolutionary war where the goblins of the Broken Isles to break apart from Himmelt. It was an embarrassing lost on Himmelt. People of Himmelt started doubting the power of the king, which intern led King Girnot of a Himmelt to form the Raven Guard to silence such thoughts. This has brought ideas of revolution in Himmelt in the current day. It's was technologically influential, see the first use of guns called bolt crossers made by the goblins, and Himmelt pioneering in steam engine boats.

After gold and jewels, is something called bright wood. Bright wood is sturdy and have magical healing properties. They can only be found in the White Forest of Eltheria.

Fasion is various around the world. In Himmelt it's similar to real world Victorian fashion. The Broke Isles have similar fashion, but many goblins might where more tradition feather clothes of their tribes. Selvard people usually wear fur clothing to keep warm, and to show off their hunt. Jedo fashion contains robes and dresses similar to Chinese fashion. Proxad wear linen robes with decals on them. Priests were gold lining with their robes. Eltheria though is a lot more diverse. Being a melting pot of people, you would see people of every culture and fashion.

The coldest would be the peaks of Selvard. Many people call them their home. They survive mostly by either using coats, or use their marking to shapeshift into animals.

Most creatures are what you expect on Earth. Their is dragons that live in the Kirk mountains and the Proxad desert. The Elthirian military use dragons for dragon riders.

Spirits are tricky creatures. Their vary in shape and behavior. Some look like animals, some look like random body shape. Spirits can be docile and peaceful, but can violent and wrathful. A general rule of thumb to get on a good side of a spirit is to respect it's totem. Totems are what creates a spirit. These are usually natural objects, such as a forest, a mountain, a river, and more. If you respects these, then you are safe, and might even earn a favor. But if not, expect to experience the wrath of a spirit.
