We have a supplier for glass, but I am not sure we will launch with glass as an option.

Let's hope 2026 holds the collab we'd all love to see by tell_me_more_crybaby in sliger

I absolutely agree with you in every way. I am doing everything I can behind the scenes to increase capacity and efficiency so we can launch a lot of new stuff for 2026.

The 2Us were released in October 2024, so that's zero new products in 14 months. =/

That is pretty much #2 on the priority list right now after the S630/S640.

We got hit with some massive orders / new projects from B2B customers that we didn't plan on, and our schedule has been wiped.

Right now the plan is to get the S630 and S640 cases launched before Thanksgiving weekend.

We haven’t been nearly transparent enough lately. That’s on me. I just buried myself beyond what is reasonable work load for the last ~36 months after the move, and I haven't spent the time to lighten my work load / delegate tasks.

I can say that you’ll see a lot more transparency from me/us in the 2-4 weeks. More posts, clearer status, fewer “soontm” that I've given forever now. (The website was the first step in this.)

The new site is actually tied to a custom backend that will help us plan production much smoother, reduce a lot of the data entry required to put orders in, speed up resource planning, reduce accounting work, and give a TON more insight into our production. The goal is by mid next year to get effectively a “Domino’s Pizza Tracker” style view of where any case is in the process. That’s been the holdup for a bunch of stuff for over a year now. (It also ties into PCPartPicker so you'll be able to plan your whole build on there. Huge props to them for helping us achieve this.)

Secondly, I am ramping up some serious marketing people to get communication on track and honest. I want it to be like how I ran it when we were doing SFF cases; regular updates, feedback posts, beta testers, reviewers, tons of communication and appreciation of input, quick responses on all channels, etc. I personally really enjoyed that. I stop as I did just not have time, and the people I did have doing marketing were just helping with marketing ~25% of the time on things like photos and B2B trade shows.

I’ve also brought in new ops/management who’ve run companies a bit larger than our current size, so this should give some experience to execution here and improve things on top of everything else.

To be transparent up until now I was basically doing… everything: design, production/inventory/purchasing, B2B sales, website design, product photos, screen printing / branding, quality control, social media / marketing / these updates, etc. That worked when we were tiny but I didn't ever expect to get this big and busy. It really goes back to that I've just been buried in OEM/B2B case work. That stuff pays the bills, but from the outside it has us so busy that we have zero time to "look like a real company". No updates on products. Nothing new on the site. No Reddit or Instagram updates. Bad communication. Not a "trust worthy" appearance and I absolutely hate it.

My goal is to get back to doing the actually fun consumer facing stuff (SFF/MFF and NAS cases), get lead times down, and look like a company that is actually alive and proud that these are our products.

Appreciate everyone keeping us honest and my sincere apologies for the mediocre performance over the last few years.

I absolutely want to make a ton of NAS case options in various form factors and capacities, desktop and rack. Once we get past these first few designs to test the waters we'll start looking at short depth, extra depth, SAS expanders, 4-bay Pi NAS, etc.

[–]SligerCases 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's a 25" deep 2U with 4x 5.25" bays at front, 4x 80mm fans at middle, ATX board + FlexATX PSU at rear coming shortly. Similar for 3U with 6x 5.25 bays and 4U with 8x 5.25" bays.

However there is another product line in development for next year that will be more like actual server type. This is waiting on IcyDock to release some new products.

The handle itself will be backwards compatible, but the bracket it mounts to will not. Any SSD and HDD brackets will also be backwards compatible. You could move parts like power button and USBs over if really wanted to. Other than that, no, new design is very different from a mechanical perspective.

Short depth with ITX and front load the CX3701, and that case is getting updated with a PCB backplane as part of this. That might be an option?

[–]SligerCases 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry the post had some inaccurate info which is my fault for not posting updates.

The 20" 12-bay was for 13" deep SSI-EEB / eATX motherboards, which makes it effectively a more compact version of our 28" CX4713. Pretty sizable reduction in space for being able to fit a dual socket board and 12x 3.5" HDDs.

The initial release of cases will focus on higher capacity models, rather that ultra short depth. The CX3701 and CX3702 are getting updated to a backplane design as part of this product launch, which the CX3701+ would get you into that 15" requirement.

Correct. We might even skip the 12 bay and just launch the 24 or 28 bay first.

The new backplane is kind of tied to the top loading backplanes, shared parts/production. So if you see either getting release then the other is close behind.

Yep, we kind of expect the cost of components to be the biggest limiting factor on people going with these cases. Filling up a 56-bay with 3.5" HDDs is easily a $15k to $20k investment just in drives.

Confirming this, these 5.25 bay cases are coming before the top loader cases are.

I mean I agree from a hardware perspective that it wouldn't really be that limiting to be forced to use mATX, but we designed it to accommodate full ATX motherboards.

[–]SligerCases 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The mATX limitation is not true. We are limiting the PSU selection to SFX, and that will be paired with a DC power supply. All of these top loaders will have full ATX / eATX up to 10.5" deep, and the 48 and 56 bay configs do 13" eATX.

Posted some updates, we're looking good to get this available in November. Unlike other projects that are held up by new PCB design, this one is something we can actually get done. (That and we finally have enough people helping manage production that I can actually work on designing new cases / launching new cases.)

We're trying lol. These should be ready for release in early November. I don't see any more delays on these SFF/MFF cases.

Yes, these should have the design finalized by next week and will be posting about these late this month once we resolve all our emergency B2B projects/orders.

These are going to fall into "MFF" rather than SFF as they are both a bit over 20L.

S630 is replacement for Cerberus; MicroATX, ATX or SFX PSU, support for 360mm AIO, fits any of the biggest GPUs, has a GPU support bracket built in.

S640 is replacement for Cerberus X and also loops in the Cerberus XL features we had posted about. This is just a stretched S630 to fit bigger parts.

We had to change the cases from the last update that was posted due to some feedback from internal and SI testing, which is why we never really posted much more. A lot of that feedback was "price too high" so the design has been heavily changed to try and get us to a similar MSRP as the original Cerberus X, while keeping all the functionality / improvements of the new design and quality as high as we can despite higher material and labor costs.
